Why is everyone being friendly in this thread?
Why are people talking at all? Germany are going to win the thing anyway

Part of me wants to see RVN score early so that Italy comes out and we can score on the quick counter. However, I still have the last competitive game with Italy in mind, so I wouldn't mind if Italy hits the post 5 times during the game, misses 5 penalties, get denied 5 legit penalty calls and get, unjustly, 5 goals turned down for offside only for Ruud or Robben to score in the final minute of extra time on a bad offside call by the ref! I will take any variation of that scenario with so much joy I will watch that game again 30 times. Most probably, the headlines on the next day would read " van der Saar: "Italy wouldn't have scored if the game went on for 24 hours!". :D
What a game was that. One of the most memorable in my mind!!!!!

In this mornings training session, Robben suffered an groin injury, which means he wont be able to play against Italy. Because Babel also suffered an injury earlier on, Holland now lost two players for the left 'wing'. Robbens place will probably be going to Kuijt or Affelay.

Speaking altruistically, this sucks for football. Group C has been plagued by injuries causing almost all the teams to see big names out of all or part of the tournament.
Italy will be missing Cannavaro and Panucci is not 100%. France's Viera is still not 100% either though improving. And the Dutch are missing Van Piersie, now Robben, and I heard Melchiot for the opening match. Not to mention Babel out for the tournament and Sneijder taking a less-serious injury.
Kind of sad some or all of these stars will not be able to play at such a great tournament.

Henry and Ribery are in doubt too.

The moral has sunk to a lowpoint and I fear we won't be able to get out of it. Seeing so much prowess (Babel, Robben, van Persie) being ruled out I can't see past the fact that we will come short to oppse Italy, France and Romania enough.

We're fu__ked!!!!!!!!!
My neighbour dropped by, saw my face and thought somebody in the family
had died :D
I may not even watch Holland's matches anymore, whats the sense in setting
myself up for frustration (again).

Take a hike, it's not the time to kick us when we're on the ground.

Please ignore him, he's a Germany fan from south east asia and has pissed off most Germans on this board as well. I guess we Germans should be grateful for any bandwagon fan we can get though... :D
Anyway, sorry about Robben. I still think the group is wide open, given the injuries to Italy and France as well.

jeez dude, calm down. I wasn't talking to you. I was talking to a dutch poster I have a rapport with. They would already know what I mean by comments like that.
