Chivas USA's first Sueno MLS winer Jorge Flores scores his first MLS goal! This aught to shut up that New Jersey Cows commentator that dismissed MLS Sueno as a gimmick. :D

Flores, the original Sueno MLS winner who had a goal and an assist in a recent swing through England with the U.S. under-20 national team, scored his first career MLS goal in the 82nd minute when he ripped a shot from the left side of the penalty area, set up by a cross-field pass by Harris after he was sprung free with a long ball over the top from Kljestan.

I think Flores had that nailed down 10 days ago. An assist for the U-20 National Team against Man United will do that.

Soccernet had a correspondant contributing, who basically called Flores the best player on the team.

Might as well turn this into the Jorge Flores catch-all.

It's up for Goal of the Week, though I think I'll be voting for McManus.

The look on his face was priceless. "Look Mom, I scored!"

El Sueño indeed.

Youngins:)

They made the right call with this kid in the Sueno compeition, picking a kid who could already hang with the best players at a young age rather than the one that just had athletic traits and the ability to contribute perhaps sooner. And it will pay off for them, starting now.

He hit another goal yesterday worthy of being a goal of the week nominee. He could win it but it looked like the GK was busy appealing for a foul and Flores cracked one in.

So who came in second to Flores in the Sueno? Maybe some MLS team should see if he can play.;)

Five finalists.

One, Abraham Garcia is Jorge's cousin.

there's a natural flow to his game that i like. and which is exactly what's sorely missing from the vast majority of mls players.
