well, as always Germany is the favorite and anything but a win will be seen as a failure for the our neighbors to the west
thats fine... but it would feel damn good to give them that feeling

kuba being out is a loss but I think whoever replaces him will fill in well...it's a team game isn't it...

no, no excuses
injures are part of the game and besides that's why you take 23 to the tournament

------------------------Boruc---------------------
--Wasilewski------Bak--------Żewłakow----???????--
-------------------Dudka--------------------------
--------------------------Lewandowsk-------------
--Łobodziński--------------------------Krzynowek--
-----------------Smolarek-------------------------
----------------------------Zurawski--------------
---Żewłakow picked up a nick in practice Wednesday so hopefully he will be fit for the match Sunday.
---the only question remaining is... will Jop, Golanski, or Wawrzyniak fill that last spot in the defense and if so will Żewłakow move off to the side or will he stay in the center?

Lobo will step up for Leo... hopefully this is Lobo's coming out party and hopefully it will carry over to Wisla's 2nd qualifying round in the Champions League :D Lobo has the skills to get the job done, its just a matter of which Lobo will show up
no excuses... its put up, or shut up time for Poland

If these were the official odds I'd be tempted to put my money on a draw!

I'd rather play X and 2
but I really think of visiting a bookie today :D
Bookie's money - here I come
Back on topic:
If someone is worried about our left flank defence without Kube - there's nothing to worry about. Of course it would be better with him, but we have Zewlakow (Jop will play in the middle then), Rzezniczak and even Roger used to play on the left flank in defence so it will be ok, I hope.
---Edit---
Checked the official odds on bwin:
Germany 1.50
Draw 3.75
Poland 6.75

BUT Kuba never played Left-Back EVER... Kuba played Right-Mid, thats where he has always played. we are worried about Left-Back because our usual starter there, Bronowicki wasn't healthy enough to make the squad therefore our backline has to be makeshift. in addition you talk about Zewlakow but he picked up a nick in a training ground incident so hopefully he will be fit for Sunday. We've got enough defensive cover to not need Roger playing Left-Back. AND we already knew Jop's old arse could play there but it makes our CB's even slower than they were and Zewlakow is much better as a CB in the middle of the pitch, than as a LB off on the the flank. so that creates a dilemma in it of itself  you make it sound all fine and dandy... but in actuality we are missing Bronowicki one of our best defenders (and younger quicker paced ones) and who knows how Zewlakow is... hopefully he is alright because we could really use him as well

I have a bad feeling ahead of our game against the Poles. I think they are underrated and have a good quality. We on the other hand have Lehmann - if he shows any weaknesses in the opening game and the Poles manage to exploit them we are in serious trouble.
Secondly, I am still not sure whether Loew will bring on Gomez. In case he doesn`t I will "have negative feelings towards Loew".
Last but not least somebody should tell Podolski that talking Polish with Klose won`t work as a secret language this time.

I think that no matter who Low starts up front, they will be a handful for the Polish defence. If Gomez doesn't start, he would be a great second-half substitute and cause a lot of problems. And yeah, Podolski and Klose might as well revert to German for this match. :)

Yes, I will or would have these negative feelings, too, not yet sure how to deal with it, wishing a bad result clearly is no option.

You are right. But I really take the Poles as a serious threat, and against such a team I would like to see our best players in the starting line-up. (I would also like to have Adler in goal, but this won`t happen...)
Loew is a good coach, but he has been very conservative in his squad selection.
