In late 2003 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2003) after couple of impressive performances in his first few Bundesliga games, Polish media suggested then-Polish national team coach Paweł Janas (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pawe%C5%82_Janas) to check Podolski out, as he was still eligible to play for Poland. Janas ignored the request stating in one of the press interviews that "as for today we have much better strikers in Poland and I don't see a reason to call up a player just because he played one or two good matches in the Bundesliga. He's not even a regular starter at his club." By that time Podolski was still interested in representing Poland, but as the season progressed more and more German media started to suggest to call up the striker to their national team. When his full potential was finally unveiled, he had already been persuaded to represent Germany

it seems there are no surprises at this euro yet. Germany has the best attacking football from the teams that have played until now.

I am sure there are so many Poles in Central Connecticut going apeshit right now because they missed the second goal.....and it was a german one.

And the weather is getting worse out here.....

Lehmann with a lucky but very good save from Saganowskis head at the near post. Great reactions still at his age.

Now THAT is funny (sucking up to the enemy nation moderator here :))

Wow that was dangerous!
Lehman is not one of the greatest goalkeepers...
You know who has good goalkeepers? Poland Squad 'B':D (and USA).

Actually, Germany A is leading against Germany B:

Oh and no, I am not serious, just tired of Polish bitterness.
