Haha, two polish guys score the first goal for Germany... Poldi did not look very happy though.

Germany has easily looked like the best team in the tournament so far.

Poland have to keep attacking (without the high defense line); it is making the Germans unbalanced.

:) Klose...there isn't a better set-up man around

Disagree. Portugal would have to be in the discussion. But only them.

The German commentator just admitted that there was an offside just before the goal. What a pitty for Poland!

I don't agree...it looked legitimate to me.

It was so nitpicky. The ref doesn't have replay. It was not something that was obvious.

True, I could see that argument.
I still think the German defense is loads better than Portugal's.

The Gomez chance was offside, the goal was touch and go.

The poles have to go down the sides. Going down the middle is not going to work and they will get bogged down in the German machine.

Better from the Poles.

I'm amazed Klose didn't finish it himself. He had loads of time.
Must give credit to the keeper, however. He played it as perfectly as he could to encourage Klose to make a play besides having the shot.

The Germans are playing some slick stuff, they're impressing me more than Portugal have but it's early days. That being said the Turkish side closed down a hell of a lot quicker than the Polish are thus far.

Both sides are running a lot; the fitter side might prevail.

Do these countries still have large amounts of animosity towards one another in regards to their rather vicious history OFF the pitch? Actual German/Polish thoughts on this matter would be appreciated.
