River players that NEED to be offloaded after the Clausura

Here's my list:

Oscar Ahumada(we still have Ponzio and Domingo)
Danilo Gerlo(inconsistent, plus we have pibes waiting in the wings)
Gustavo Cabral(inconsistant, same as Gerlo)
Mauro Rosales(give a pibe a chance like Rios or Antonio)

I like Cabral, i think River look much stronger at the back when he is playing.

From my point of view, the problem with Ahumada is that it won't be easy to get the supporters to forgive him.

Besides him, I agree that Danilo Gerlo and Mauro Rosales should go. Can't really think of others at the moment, but as Ahumada has shown us, my mind can change by the end of the season.

I know this isn't the topic of the thread, but would you guys like to see Dario Conca playing for River next season? I saw him play for Fluminense today vs. Sao Paulo (Flu won 3-1 and advanced to semis in the Copa), and he had a great game. He's on loan, so unless someone buys him, he should be returning to River in June if I'm not mistakened.

I don't know, he didn't seem to play too well with "la banda" when he received opportunities. Then again, they were barely a few chances and just in some pointless friendlies. He did great in Chile, and is now doing a fantastic job in Brazil. It looks to me as if he deserves a shot.

Well it's been a week now since the end of the 2008 Clausura and only one player from the championship winning team has left. That being Abreu. Alexis Sanchez appears to be not returning as Udinese doesn't want to loan him out again. So, does anyone have a change of opinion as to whom they would like to see offloaded?? I think out of the players I mentioned, Cabral is the only one I wouldn't mind seeing return. He wasn't outstanding during the Clausura, but he did put in some pretty solid performances. I still say Ahumada, Gerlo, and Rosales should go. Ahumada may have put in some gutsy performances after he opened his piehole, but he's too yellow/red card prone and always seems to get injured. Gerlo is just too inconsistent, and Rosales I think doesn't fit into Simeone's system.

I agree on this one. He's been one of Flu's best players during their Copa Libertadores run.
