it's better than nothing...
how boring would it be if we only had just the domestic league.
At least we get to face some decent teams in Mexico

I know very little about this tourny.

This means that if we win this tourny, we qualify for a world wide tourny? And a final game of this tourny with a MLS team in it would be a huge game right? Much bigger than Super Liga or anything else? And any game in that world wide tourny with MLS involved would be even bigger?

hell, shoot for the stars ... it's for a chance to play in the FIFA Club World Cup. could you imagine, say sometime in 2014, to see NYCFC play against AC Milan?

people will probably scoff at the idea of an MLS club playing against one of the european 'superclubs' in a non-friendly match, but with the current rate the quailty of play in the league increasing, it's only a matter of time before someone gets past a mexican powerhouse and represents CONCACAF in the club world cup.

it could happen ...

;)

I really like the way things are going here man - think about it

Our own Champs league
Other good intl tourneys
I love that the winner of the US open cup gets a champs league spot - it will make teams take that tourny more serious
Soccer Stadiums
Interest in investors

Now we hae a league and a Cup and a good Intl tourney thats more than just US v. Mexico - Concacaf as a whole will benefit - its a great time to be a domestic footy fan!!!
