Wish there was a way to just quote that picture, but I'm not seeing the links.

Any names being mentioned as incoming?
Nils Peterson (as good as done) striker
Daniel Schwaab -- SC Freiburg rightback
Zlatan Bajramovic -- FC Schalke 04 central midfielder
Sergej Barbarez -- Bayer 04 Leverkusen striker
Sascha Kotysch -- FC Kaiserslautern defender
Wilfried Sanou -- SC Freiburg rightback/ right midfielder
Berkant Göktan -- TSV 1860 München striker/attacking midfielder
Mohammad Ghaddar - Al Nejmeh SC striker, supposd to be a star in Libanon
a good friend of Antar
Those are the candidates of the last weeks.
Nothing that gets me too excited. Bajramovic is propably the most interesting candidate.
Now that we signed Brecko and Brosinski, Sanou and Schwaab are propably not interesting anymore

Is Kotysch your pick or is there any "official" interest? I don`t think that he is ready for 1. Bundesliga. He needs two more years. Quattara or Schönheim would be the better choice. But I think Schönheim will play for Leverkusen next season.
What do you think about the next game in lautern? I`m so nervous.
I hope that the FC players had enough of kölsch during the week.

I'll be in the Fritz Walter-Stadion on Sunday and I hope it's going to be an interesting match. Don't tell anyone, but I hope Kaiserslautern can avoid relegation, even if this would mean us losing this match. Well, I've said it… :D

I have a ticket too. But I can`t tell if I will be there. I still remember that match in wolfsburg two years ago. FCKs last game in the Bundesliga. I was close to tears.
It could get very ugly this time.

Those names all have sources like newspapers or even the lebanon tv.
according to one newspapers we are or at least were interested in Kotysch
If we get him , I think he will start in the U23 and has to work his way up to the first team. Like Pezzoni did this season. The same goes for Peterson.
oh and the latest rumor
according to "kicker" we are interested in Federico

I do like Federico. I don't think Doll used him properly.

Federico would be great. But I doubt that he would like to return to us.
He had some bad experiences with the club when Huub was coach here.
Also i don`t think he will come cheap sinceh his contract with the BVB still runs.
oh and I forgot Radu, there has also be an article about him and the fc

Different managers, different times. Plus if Doll stays at Bvb, he's going to want to leave

What was the matter with Radu at Wolfsburg/ Stuttgart? Always injured or what? He was really good at Cottbus...

:D Helmes made it to the NT trainings camp
If he makes it to the EC, than the FC will get some extra cash.

I think Radu was contracted in W-burg before mMgath arrived and Magath prefered to work with his own people an found no use for him.
The whole contract situation with Radu, W-burg and Stuttgart is really confusing

In Stuttgart he's simply not been good enough to get any playing time.
It was a stupid loan move on our part and probably stupid of him too to accept.

I will be there as well... I'd be sorry if Lautern gets relegated, but in my opinion they deserve it. A lot of stuff went wrong there, it all started that Wolfgang Wolf got sacked. In my opinion the biggest mistake ever. He wanted to build up something new with young players and because the promotion got out of reach last year he got sacked. Now look at the Team, 3 coaches later the are fighting against relegation. In my opinion they don't deserve it...
We will see what way FCK will go, Köln never won a lot against Lautern, but the last coach who made it happen was Daum ;) That was Dec 1989, after Stefan Kuntz got red carded.

I somehow have the feeling that should lautern lose, Koblenz will get another ridicules punishment and wil be relegated instead.
While I don`t want Lautern to go down, it would be a real farce if Koblenz got relegatet that way. I just hope that german football won`t stop that low

No offence Cookiely, but do we have to dip into this conspiracy theory here?
I've read quite a few footy boards in the last few days, especially the 'fc-brett'. It made me sick to see how many people portray Kaiserslautern as state-sponsored, corrupt, in league with the German FA, blabla. The amount of abuse showered on them knows no limit at the moment, and in some cases it's close to hate.
What many people seem to overlook is that Koblenz did actually violate DFL regulations. It's not like points were taken from them with no reason at all, although the punishment seemed quite harsh. And then they started bargaining with the DFL and reached a settlement. The number of points deducted this seasons was suddenly reduced from eight to six, without any explanation, without any transparency. If at all, that should worry us! Either there is a basis for taking away a certain number of points or there is not. How can this be a matter of haggling?

:D that`s because many FC Fans know Koblenz fans.
and we are generally very susceptible to rumors and conspiration theories
:(I always wanted to be part of the illuminati, but they haven`t contacted me yet. :D If you are a Illuminat pm me. I already got the robe. I`ll even be happy to convert to whatever strange religion you are following.
Imo the larger and older the club the more influence they got on the german FA. A tradition club like Lautern just has more contacts and connections in the FA than a first year in the second league club like Koblenz.
If the FC or BMG were in the Lautern situation I would say the same thing.
Many FA members are former players, trainers, or club managers.
In their active time they mave have once worked for the FCK and therefore
have a special connection to the club.
Imagine you were on the board and had to decide between the FCK and Koblenz.
You have absolutely no connection to Koblenz but you still know people who work for the FCK like Willy the green keeper, who is going to lose his job should the FCK get relegated. How would you decide?
Also there is a lot more money at risk should Lautern get relegated.
Another example. A couple of years ago, the last time we got that "fair play uefa cup spot" Bielefeld lead the fair play table the second year in row but in the end the spot went to the nearly broke but huge BVB who was in dire need of money to stay in buisness.
Big clubs just have more influence.

Granted, let's assume Lautern has more influence with the FA than Koblenz (which is probably true of 30 or so other clubs): Did Koblenz violate FA regulations? Yes, they did. Is there any evidence at all linking the FA's decision on their punishment with Kaiserslautern? Nope. Everything that is brought forward against them is 100 % hypothetical.
If the DFL was so in favour of Kaiserslautern, I wonder why they didn't stick with their decision to take 8 points from Koblenz? I also wonder why the referee in Jena last weekend didn't concede Lautern at least one of their (alleged?) offside goals. They would be save by now.
I know you don't want to decry Kaiserslautern, but there are a lot of people doing just that at the moment. The mob is gleefully waiting for them to become a founder member of the 3. Bundesliga, or to fall even lower because of their financial troubles. These haters make me sick.
