After a great season in the premier league, it is hard to find a best 11 and 5 subs for a premier league team, there are just so many different options, every time you think you have it just right, you remember someone else and have to rearrange again. But i think i have come up with mine :

How can Torres not be a lock?

I know this is coming from a Liverpool fan, but 24 goals (in the EPL alone) is awefly impressive, especially since he scored none on freekicks and penalty kicks. Plus, he's outpaced Christiana on goals in the first season.

Ade got the same amount of goals and others scored less but contributed a lot more. It all depends on the style of play you want and the composition of the rest of your side.

Central midfield is very debatable.

Barry, Gerrard, Mascherano, Flamini and Fabregas were all good and you could pick any two of those five.

Neither of them stood out though.

That looks like a Keegan team...ie: one that aims to score more goals than their opposition but doesnt give a toss about clean sheets..."lets win it 7-4 boys" ;)

Only Carriger and Ferdinand are recognised defenders and Clichy is a LB not a RB...sorry to attack your team but that is an ordinary Best 10 (no goalkeeper) ;)

Umm...close but id shift Carriger (its actually Carragher) to RB and put Terry at CB given he is a CB and Carra can play both.

I assume that by Cheh you mean Cech from Chelsea.

It's always tricky narrowing down the field to a viable 11 plus subs. I know Gerrard and C Ronaldo did not strictly play in the above positions but they are viable. I also tried to pick a balanced bench with keeper, 1 defender, 1 defensive midfielder, 1 striker and 1 attacking midifielder.

Honourable mentions go out to Flamini, Clichy, Tevez, Skrtel, Petrov, Richards, Bentley and J Cole, all of whom I thought had impressive seasons in the Prem.
