I'd say this team is definitely weaker than last year's. It should also be noted that some of our German-based players weren't released by their clubs as some of the German leagues are still playing. Also, the Vancouver Whitecaps youth team is touring Germany, so some Whitecaps players that would've normally been on the team aren't dressing this weekend.
Adam Street's inclusion means that he has definitely chosen Canada. He was on the England U-17 team for awhile, so it wasn't always guaranteed.
Some of the notable absences are David Hoillet, Oliver Lacoste-Lebius, Kennedy Owusu-Ansah, Abde Sylla (although he still has a few years of U-20 eligibility left, I think he's currently part of Canada's U-17 team), and Drew Beckie. Roberto Stillo is a player I'd have loved to see on the team, as the sooner he does so and indicates a commitment to Canada the sooner we can stop worrying about whether he's going to choose Italy over Canada. Julian Latendresse-Levesque is another player that might've been expected to be called.

^ Street being on the team doesn't mean he has chosen Canada. He played in a qualifier for the 2005 U17's tourny prior to suiting up for the England U16's a few times. He also appeared for our U17's in last years Qualifiers. The long and short of it is he's cap-tied to us, but can switch to England prior to his 21st bday.
Vladimir Vukovic is a surprise to me, i thought he was going to play for Bosnia.
