Many would have already seen this message at various other boards, but I thought I'd share the information here as well.
Over the past week several people, from all parts of Canada, have worked to ensure that Canada will be properly supported during World Cup Qualifying for the first time in history. We have arranged for a section of 500 seats to be made available as a supporter’s section to be filled by the Voyageurs and friends. Although we are still working out the kinks, we hope that this first round match between Canada and St. Vincent and the Grenadines will serve as a nice dress rehearsal for the semifinal and hex games that will take place over the next 18-months.
As it stands today, we are planing to take one bus to Montreal from Toronto. Since TFC plays the next day, the bus will be a same day return. We will be leaving Toronto at 9 a.m. on June 20 and arriving in Montreal at about 2-3 p.m., depending on traffic. The game is at 7:30 p.m.. The bus will depart for Toronto at 11 p.m. So, there will be plenty of time to enjoy Montreal as well as the game.
The cost of the trip is as follows:
Bus + ticket = $85
Bus alone = $75
Ticket alone = $10
A 25% deposit is required up front for all bus packages ($21.25 and $18.75). However, those paying for a bus package in full, up front, prior to May 17 will receive a discount of $5. Ticket only purchases must be paid in full up front.
Early bird price:
Bus + Ticket = $80
Bus alone = $70
Payments can be made via e-transfer (preferred), PayPal (a $2 surcharge will apply) or in person (e-mail and I’ll arrange something). Contact Duane Rollins at dgrollins@gmail.com, or (e-mail me for my number) for more information.
Those that have indicated an interest in the previous thread will be given priority if the bus fills. I remain open to the possibility of booking a second bus, if the interest is high enough.
If you wish to purchase tickets on your own, you will need a special code to do so. Please contact me for the code. However, we would ask that you keep it to yourself, as we want to avoid the possibility of scalpers/non-supporters getting their hands on the tickets.
As this is a Voyageurs bus EVERYONE ON THE TRIP MUST SUPPORT CANADA. Normal supporter section rules and expectations will apply.
