I'm bored and going through the internet site recommendations in the paper:

50 worst footballer haircuts. (http://www.asylum.co.uk/gallery/50-worst-football-haircuts-1/850227/) Newcastle United connected are well represented. Not as much as LA Galaxy connected though.

John Travolta is half man half lemur, Freddie Mercury had insanely large teeth as a child. (http://www.babydoll.ws/2008/06/07/celebrities-when-they-were-kids/)

The 50 best stores with pun names. (http://www.bspcn.com/2008/06/07/the-50-best-pun-stores/)

Do you really need "as a child"?

Actually, he doesn't really have larger teeth than normal. He had more of them (4 extra), but he never had them removed for fear that it would change his voice.

There's a place down the road from me called Jamaica Me Tan.
I believe it's a chain.

QUEEN is my favorite band, btw.

They just looked even bigger as a kid. The weird thing about Queen is how come "We Are The Champions" gets played every time any sports team wins anything ever? Even teams that don't speak English. I've seen it played at the Bernabeu and after AC Milan won the CL. They were even singing along.

Queen were mint, not sure about them reforming with a Paul Rodgers, and I don't think John Deacon's playing bass. So its just Roger Taylor and Brian May and a new singer.

I actually saw them when they toured the US a few years ago. Deacon has given up performing. They had the bassist from Blue Oyster Cult, I forget his name, "Go go Godzilla!" Anyway, it was a great show, but I never had the chance to see them while Freddie was still alive. I'm only 29. They did do a great tribute in the concert. Rodgers isn't that bad, and it's obvious they don't try to replace the missing members. They're just playing music that they love. It's not imitation.

And as far as the other country stuff, QUEEN was huge all over the world, they were bigger internationally, not including the UK of course, than they were in the US for sure.

Nowadays I assume they all agree with Erich Maria Remarque (PLEASE tell me you've read Im Westen nicht Neues...or at least the English translation :D)

Of course I've read it... in English. I actually just bought the original movie version from 1930.

I finished The Guns of August not too long ago, am finishing To the Last Man, and am planning to buy King, Kaiser, Tsar (http://www.amazon.com/King-Kaiser-Tsar-Three-Cousins/dp/0802716237) and The First World War (http://www.amazon.com/First-World-War-Complete-History/dp/0805047344).

As you can see, I am on a pretty heavy WWI kick right now. If you have any suggestions for good German histories, I would appreciate it.

Ahhhh I'm afraid my realm is novels and dramas...a few of which have to do with the military and war, but aren't really "military histories."

It's not Iraq its in Afghanistan.

And they aren't fake, they used the Kandahar city stadium as a landing zone when the taliban attacked the prison there a few weeks ago.

Going to buy myself a Newcastle home jersey as a late birthday gift. Can't decide if I want to get Martins, Owen, or get it blank. I need to buy it before the end of the month though, so I can't wait until the end of the window.

At about 38 seconds in, the bloke that says "this feels great on my abs" sounded like something else on first listening.

I love infomercials, they're the purest form of comedy. Seriously though... that has to be a parody? Imagine getting sacked from someone sitting in a f*cking Hawaii chair. I can also imagine the musician who was paid to come up with "if you can sit, you can get fit" taking his own life through the sheer desperation of what he's been reduced to.

Why the time limit? Get JaredSS No. 7 put on it ;)

And now for something completely different:
Shearer man, what you doing?!
