Well, how is the victor determined? How does the sim work? I mean, the best, in real life, players may not be the best picks for your league. Just like the best players don't always make the best players for fantasy leagues.

Once we know that, then I'm sure we'll be able to help you effectively.

They are doing the sims out of Football Manager/World Soccer Manager 2008, and since most of those players don't exist, they will be created. I'll give them their attributes and stuff, I just need to know who to put in there.

So, you get to make up their attributes? How's that? Can't you just give them all the top ratings?

So, basically, are you just looking for flavor? As in, the names of the people you put in there actually have no bearing on how well your team performs?

An All-time NUFC XI then? Sounds like a bit of a task and most of the players I can't imagine you'd know a lot about their stats anyway. Players like Hughie Gallacher, and Bryan 'Pop' Robson are legends but I have no idea what their 'stats' would be like in a game like that. They're the kind you read about rather than see.

My uncle says Milburn was as good as Shearer though. Those two up top will probably be about right. Unfortunately you'll find with Newcastle's history we have a great abundance of attacking talent (Shearer, Milburn, Gallacher, Keegan, Gascoigne, Waddle, Ginola, Supermac, Beardsley etc) and not much in defence you'll probably end up with Bob Moncur as CB. You could be cheeky and get Stuart Pearce in defence (past his prime when he came but he did play for us).

There is one very enlightening thing in there among all the very stimulating things. Check out Ronaldo's wife, can't remember which number, toward the beginning. She has a very masculine face, and I'll be damned if she doesn't look quite a bit like one of his call girls. Guess that's what he goes for.

It also looked like there were some filler chicks in there. Some of them weren't that attractive. And a lot of these guys got married young, huh? That's surprising, I mean, imagine what they could pull... unless they just don't care and cheat anyway.

Agreed about Ronaldo's missus... I think that lad has issues. Although that one he was going out with around the 98 world cup was well tasty.. although I was 15 at the time and that may be clouding my judgement. I don't know how Victoria Beckham ever makes it into these things... I think David is the only bloke that finds her attractive.

Sounds good so far, thanks Russell. I only came on board in '99 after i got out of school, so I know alot about those players that have played since '99, but I am a little naive about some of our players before that. I was planning on Sir Les to come off the bench behind Shearer and Milburn with a midfield of Gascoigne, Ginola, Supermac, and Beardsley with Keegan, Gallacher, Butt (from his hay day, not now) or Waddle as the last mid on the bench. I was going to have Given be one of the keepers, but don't know who to make the other one. Also a backline with Moncur and Pearce would be nice, still need 3 more defenders though.
