hm i was under the impression that the new adidas kits had that extra space on the sleeves for competition patches but on replica jerseys they wouldn't have that empty space, however this bloke has it on his new chelsea jersey..hrmm..

I'm sure that's what it is. EPL patches are sold separately from the jerseys, so he probably didn't pay the extra 5 or 6 pounds to add the patches.
