do the puma 1.06s take a while to break in? i played 90 minutes this morning and yesterday evening and my toes were killing me... otherwise they have a great touch on the ball. i guess im spoiled by my preds but ive never felt such pressure on the bottom of my foot before. does this go away as they break in?

Which type do you have though the leather or the material ones? Also what surface are you playing on?

-If it's astro turf then it will boil your feet on hot days but dunno about the pressure your having never felt it even in v1's I guess each foot has a different feel :D

i got the leather .06s, i play mostly on grass but sometimes turf. also they're already starting to come apart - upper is separating from soleplate. ah well, i'll play em til they break.

Dunno I loved my leather v1's and I've had even for 2 years love em to death...Also don't worry about a little split on the outside it's normal and just wear the things :D

Hey....just got some new V1.08s. They came with a foam-like foot pad to slip in the shoe and a heavier but fairly durable plastic/carbon pad to put in the shoe. Which is to be used? In what situations? Thanks

I think you should use both in the boot, it is not one or the other, I think it would be pretty sloppy (no support) with only the sock liner in the boot.

Puma moved the carbon plate from the outsole to the foot-bed insole, the "foam-like foot pad" is the normal foot-bed/sock liner.

Hope you enjoy them

they've worked well in replacing my 1.06s after they ripped. basically the same imo except 08s look better and don't break as easily

Why, because if thats hinting that you want to sell your boots you're doing it in the wrong place.

I got some King Exec i's from soccercorner (also known as Angelo's) for a great price. Picked up the pearly white/graphite/gold ones. Wore them at a 7s Rugby tournament on Saturday with the intention of just warming up in them before swapping to my usual F30.6s for the matches. They felt so nice, that I wore them all day, which ended up being 11 matches (played for my club's 2 teams entered in the tourney). No hotspots, blisters, toenail issues, etc. Does anyone know if Puma has a synthetic version of their King line? I prefer Synthetics when playing on wet surfaces.

the new puma v1.08...

I own a pair of v1.06 white/jaffa/silver...
these are one of the best pairs of boots ive owned ever so comfy and look great ashame about durability though :(..
im not sure if im rite in saying this but i own a pair of vapor III and a pair of vapor IV and i'm positive that the v1.06's are lighter.. i changed at half time from vapors to v1s and they felt much lighter.. am i right that they may be lighter??...

also would anybody reccomend me to get the new puma v1.08s bcuz they look and are made totally different to the v1.06s i have??

V1's are lighter than any boot, specially the .06(except for Mercurial SL and that's because of 0.1 ounces).

One more thing... anyone know of a good method for removing blood from white kangaroo leather? I had a nice stream coming from my knee down my shin, and a few drops hit my boot. That white sock will likely be pink from now on though, soaked up quite a bit.
