Can anyone compare v1.08 to v1.08K?

I don't think anyone has snagged the V's in K-leather yet but they are on my list once I off load the majority of my boots via ebay this week.

I got my white/silver K-leather V1.08s Wednesday. They're absolutely sick. I don't have a good reference point for k-leather shoes, because these are my first. However, I can say they are a bit heavier than the v1.08 synthetics and a bit thicker. They feel like slippers. Unfortunately, I won't be really using them until March, so I can't tell you how they hold up in a game. I haven't even been able to break them in yet, with all the snow in the ground.
On a side note, can someone tell me the best way to break them in? (Sorry if I'm derailing the thread. Ignore this if I am.)

Just wear them. Pume V-speed series boots don't give any blisters at all.

Oh, I know, my red/white/black v1's never gave me any trouble. I was just wondering if something special needed to be done for the k-leather.

With the quality of K-Leather these days, nothing special needs to be done. Like emu said, just wear them for a bit inside your house, letting them mold to your feet. By the time your season starts, they should fit perfectly.

Nope, I don't think they've even been confirmed to be real yet. On a side note, I accidentally clicked on the first page of the thread to find this thread started in 2002! thats pretty old by thread standards.

Are there any release dates or prices for the v2's?
Looking at the Fall 09 Puma catalog shows launch date of 6-1-09 (black/gold) and 6-27-09 (royal/blk/wht) It is the v1 upper with the v3 outsole at $150 retail. They also show the v4 available, like the v3 but the v3 is all leather at $100 the v4 is leather with synthetic in lays at $85.
I was at the USCAA meetings in St Louis and saw the v1.10, could not get close as Puma had it tucked away in a room that was not open to everyone but it looked sick. one was red/blk and one was yellow/red and they said they would be out in Oct 09

They can't be v2.08 cause it still has that hard plastic toe.

yeah i figured that out after i posted. i just thought they might've been because some said they were black/gold. The all carbon V1's were pure speculation and the guy doesn't think hes going to get them anymore (it was on SP). and there are pictures of V2.08 i think a couple pages back

I fail to see how it's taking a step back.
All I see is they look more like the v1.06 (which were very much prefered over the 1.08s). They have on even surface, not 9 million pieces of fabric sewn together like the 08s.
I think they look promising. I can guarantee you I'm getting the K Leather ones.

well first of the picture is tiny, but from what i could see, it looks like it has a lace cover like the f50.6 which is not something id want, as much as i like those particular boots. second is they look like pure plastic..like shiny hard plastic..to me they just don't look good. maybe as more pictures come it will be clearer what they really look like, but for no no thank you. and not everybody prefered the 06s, there are a lot of people that like 08s.
