Yeah mine hurt pretty bad too on hard ground. When I play on turf I don't notice it at all though. They're just not durable shoes.

yeh i occasionally played on my schools brand new turf stadium field but i practiced on the hard ground field and my club fields are pretty much cement

i think id wear those silver/blue/red v1.08s, they are original..if only they made the puma logo on the outside in blue or yellow it would better i think

I agree with the originality factor but the pink and black ones aren't working for me...

Makes me wonder how the full pink mercurials are going to look?

i like the colors of the new 1.08... but i do agree they kill the bottoms of my feet, and as i play almost only on turf here i've gone back to preds for the time being.

I have a pair of Turf 5.08's and they fit like my Konstruts. I also got a pair of King XL's and they are massive, at least half a size larger than the other Puma's. Larger than my F50's as well.

I have reasonably wide fit feet. Both the Puma's are tight to snug to my foot. The King however had lot of room in the shoe. I would doubt that width would be an issue.

Being as i can wear an 8.5 in the other Puma's i would drop to a size 8 in the Kings

hrm sounds like i just need to go try them on then... shit. the kons and 1.06s fit the same, so maybe ill just buy a pair of those. how comfy are they?

I love the Kons, I wear them when ever i play on grass and when i am coaching. I would wear them for games but that's on turf and they just are not durable enough for turf.
I would point out that the Kings i got are the synthetic grass version with the rubber toe cap.

Guys, i have a question about maintaining my Puma's


I bought a pair of Puma v1.06 K-Leather SG's a week ago. I played my first game on them 2 days ago, and i cleaned them very well after the game. But now I noticed a crack in the carbon of about 3cm long on the bottom of the shoe.

Is this normal? How can I prefend such cracks. And can it do any harm, or should i ship pack the shoes to the shop i bought them from, asking for a new pair (it's not normal they crack after just one game)? I only played one game on them, on a very good pitch (very smooth, rock-free pitch).

I hope you guys understand the "crack" i'm talking about, if not, I will try to get a picture of it tomorrow.

I know it happens on Nike Mercurial SL's but my 08's didnt snap when I had them?
