review for Puma V3.08 fg
Aesthetics: 9/10
Got them in the black grey colour. looks awesome imo, very sleek and streamline. The white outline of the puma cat looks cool as well on the instep. The asymmetrical lacing and the tongue makes the boot look like a glove wrapped on your foot. only thing i didnt like is the red studs, shouldve painted them black imo. Basically looks like v1.08 without the weird toebox.
Comfort: 9/10
Very stiff initially. My big toe hurts when i wore them for the first time. I stuffed the toebox with newspaper for a whole day to loosen them up. Full grain leather combines very well with the plastic bits. Boot fits amazingly with my wide foot. They fit better than legends imo. They are really comfy once you break them in.
Performance: 9/10
Very good boot. No gimmicks. Good touch and good traction. Quiet light as well. The full grain leather is kinda thick so it helps with touch and shot power. Overall very good boot, kinda wish the leather is abit thinner because my foot becomes very sweaty after an hour.
Value: 10/10
At less that $100 USD this boot is better than legends and R10 for wide foot folks IMO. I would even take this boot over the V1.08 because i prefer the toebox on these. I think ill stick to these for a while a better boot comes out.
Overall: 10/10
For all wide footed people out there with a long big toe. GET THIS BOOT RIGHT NOW! it the best out there right now for the money, trust me ive tried all of them out there.

no chance dude, i only used my execs for about 3 months; everyone that i know that has/had execs agrees that the durability sucks.
Do you play for FC Copa?

no man, i just tried them out in practice but it hurt in the beginning, but they began to feel like slippers at the end of practice. I guess that it was just the breaking in of the boot that hurt
these V3.08s are pretty rad :D

I know with the V1.06s they didnt really have a breaking in time the first time you wore them they were pretty much perfect. Not sure about the 08s though.

I have V1.08 Trainers, I know the upper's not the same but whatever. The heel gave me blisters(my negligency, used no-show socks), also the toebox needs a bit of practice to get used to for most people, I didn't need to though. I always find them a bit uncomfortable when I put them on for the first minutes, but after being in them for a while it's fine. It's about all I can say.

Just got the silver v1.06 k's today. touch is nice, leather is soft, and they're comfy. i had been wearing v3.06's for a while, and when i got these new cleats in the same size they fit really snug, maybe it's because i've been wearing my old pair for 2 years lol. i have to really loosen the laces just to get my foot inside the shoe. hopefully they won't tear i'll get back on the durability.

New to the forums, but until my most recent adidas purchase, I've been a puma guy pretty exclusively-execs and konstructs. As stated by just about everyone, the king execs are sh!t. Great touch, good feel but durability is for crap. The leather always peels away from the sole. For the record, I'm just an old legger so my boots are only getting 2-3 plays a week, tops.
As far as the konstructs go, and I'm surely in the minority, they're the best boot I've ever owned. Low to the ground, great heel-box, durable as hell and damn comfortable. The only complaint is some slight warping to the sole at the toe. And they've been through hell and back, honestly. :D
I bought some powerswerves recently and here I thought Puma ran small. Those puppies are at least 1/2 size smaller than my pumas. As a result, I'm looking into a new pair. So anyway, anybody tried on the new King XL's? Are they as bulky feeling as they look?

Like the metallic blue one but with metallic red. looks good

thats the same seller who had the glossy blue ones early too. they do look pretty sweet but they'd be even better if puma would hurry up with a K leather model or even more than just the red colorway in SG in the US

I meant like a home job. but that one is real. the earlier red/black/white had black lining. this one has and i think thatd be very difficult to change
