Does anyone here ever use turf shoes instead of shoes with cleats for the pitch? I am 37 years old and been through all kinds of mess, with sports, injuries, arthritis and too many hours at work on my aching feet. A talented female player, older than me, told me she loves to use a good, cushiony, turf shoe for grassy fields. And that the only time she pulls out the cleats is on a rainy, muddy day. I just want to be as comfortable as possible when I play. Which is once on the weekends. Oh, and yes I have done A-L-L of the orthotics, insole, heel cup, arch support thing. None worked.
Thanks for any input.

I personally don't use turf shoes on grass, but a couple of my mates on my club team do and they seem to be perfectly fine, except for the occasional slip.

im going to suggest you buy a pair of hard ground boots.. if you have a look on soccer.com you find a couple of pair.. they would be better to play in because you wont slip as much as you would in turfs.. and there are more studs with a lower profile on them then a pair of regular fg boots.. hope i could help ;)
