I think Leverkusen are definitely on their way to a winning season. 3-1. Impressive. I think they have the talent and the ability to become one (if not the) top team in Germany and even win some hardware this season. It'll be a fun ride... I'm definitely ready for it.

I called it a couple of months ago in the "How is Bayer Leverkusen goin'" thread. I say this is Bayer's year.

Sounds like you could be right.
If our attackers find their form, we could be in great shape.

Bayer is still too weak in away games. The next two weeks at Bayern and Wolfsburg will show the direction of this years' long road.

it's still too early in the season to say whether they are title contenders

I'm guessing this will be the game on TV in the US.
You are right, its the big game - if we come away with a point, that will be a good result.

This is a part of a kicker article from today:
1:2, 0:2, 1:4, 0:2, 0:2, 0:3, 0:1, 0:1, 1:3, 0:2, 1:3, 0:2. This are not the results of the brave Faroes in the EC Qualifiers. These twelve results are those of Bayer Leverkusen in the last 6 years on the road at Bayern Munich and VfL Wolfsburg. Twelve tries, no point, 27 goals against. Reiner Calmund: "Not even a single loss was undeserved"...
As I said, these games will mean a lot. If Bayer continues the negative run, then they'll be away from the top. If they manage to collect some points this time, then they established a base to play for the top.

Holy crap!
If we got a point it would be a major victory.

That was a big match indeed. Thankfully Kahn wasn't playing all that great. Worked out great for us!
