UPDATE: A reported rumor of Smith making a switch to Scottish Premier League side Rangers was squashed today by his manager, according to Sky Sports.
ANALYSIS: Smith could be a good prospect for many teams, but he seems content and secure at Newcastle for the moment. An appearance at another team's ground does nothing to stop the rumor mills though.
