Emptiness
(the word bump has too much meaning)
This is not the way to start the season. :(

That's a heck of a slump-buster.
Wow.
Nice win. Of course they win 5:1 when I'm not live in the stadium. :mad:
I was in the stadium against Cottbus of course. Now that was dreadfull. The only good thing about that was the choreo.

Very happy that Schlaudraff finally scored. Imo he was the best player in the first two games (didn't see the Stuttgart match). He certainly has more talent than most players on the squad.
Also obviously Huszti didn't get sold so we're going to lose him for free after this season unless he's gone in the winter break.

Wow, H96 wins its 1st game (congrats on this impressive performance) ... and Fräulein is finally back! ;)
Very happy that Schlaudraff finally scored.
He always scores "Doppelpacks" and great goals against us. :(;) Maybe his personal revenge for the fact that our former manager Pander sold him for peanuts to Aachen...

How many injuries are the reds suffering at the moment? Only 6 subs and they lose Ismael. Ouch
You can add Schlaudraff to the list.
Still having almost an entire eleven missing is no excuse to hardly ever get the ball.
Well, I hope this makes it clear that our bench sucks.
Even our starting midfield and defense are not all that.
Imo we only have 3 above average players:
* Forssell
* Schlaudraff
* Huszti (even though he's average most of the time)
* and Enke of course
The rest is average or even worse.
Well, what can you do. This is Hannover 96. We're used to it.
Feel sorry for Enke though.

Its not good when you're making Helmes look like a world class player :(
Also nice of our captain Enke to single out Schlaudraff in the post-game interview.
I hope we get a few millions for him in the winterbreak, we could need them.

I wrote up an analysis of the game:

On the plus side Farenhorst played out of his skin. And the flu should be out of the squad next week. If Bruggink's infection isn't too bad, things could be okay by the time you face Bochum. I would be worried about the cup
Schlaudraff could be out for a long while:

I feel sick.
I would be worried about the cup
I'm not worried about the cup, I'm worried about doing a Nürnberg. :(

The list of players who are eligible to play doesn't really make one look forward to tonight's match... At the other hand, it's not like we stood a chance in Schalke lately anyways, now we don't have anything to lose.

Let's hope everyone gets well soon.
96 will win 4:3 with Fatih Yigitusagi scoring a hattrick and Sal Zizzo scoring the winner in extra time! :D
I should bet money on bwin:
FC Schalke 04: 1.27, Unentschieden: 4.95, Hannover 96: 9.00

You reckon Balogun will play?
No, I think he's injured as well.
According to the German forum this is the team who will beat Schalke:
Enke - Herrmann, Vinicius, Eggimann, Rausch - Fahrenhorst, Balitsch, Stajner, Pinto, Krebs - Hanke
bench:Hahne, Yankov, Yigitusagi, Zizzo und Fromlowitz
Not good but not worse than a 2. Bundesliga team and even those sometimes beat great sides in the cup.
