Took them a while (a season toe be precise), but the English Hannover 96 website is online again. (reachable through my signature).
96 withdraw Huszti contract offer.
http://www.hannover96.de/CDA/top-stories/huszti-angebot.html
Apparently 96 offered €1.5 million including bonuses. Seeing that Schlaudraff, Enke and Eggimann will earn close to 2.000.000 and reading the contract numbers of the other teams in the league I totally understand Huszti here.
I'm pretty sure his agent has some offers on the table that are much higer.
Now the question is if 96 can find a club willing to pay more than 3.000.000 for him and if they can find a replacement for that money.

I agree, he should also get close to 2 million. IMO a pretty stupid move, since promotion we were always in need of creativity for our midfield, and couldn't find a long-term solution...

Maybe they think Schlaudraff is that solution?? He can play some midfield. :o

I'd like to see him as a deep striker or attacking mid anyway.

I really do hope that hope the Ivanschitz and Ben-Hatira rumours are true and they need to get another forward, I'm not Hanke's biggest fan anyway but if he gets hurt we really look bleak up front.
I'm also really hoping that this year will finally be the year Yankov breaks out but...
Balitsch and especially Schulz need to improve drastically for 96 to go anywhere.
I'm also not sold on Eggimann being the savior of our defense, he's a bit slow imo.
The whole team is slow, that's our biggest problem imo.
The saddest thing is that we won't get rid of Pinto and Lauth.
We need imo:
* forward
* RB backup
* 2 midfielders
I think we only buy a forward and a midfielder though.
Maybe we're going to able to get someone on loan?

It can't help your confidence that Eggimann was dropped from the Swiss team either.
The saddest thing is that we won't get rid of Pinto and Lauth.
I can't imagine you guys have any worthwhile offers for either one. I know 1860 would love to have Lauth back, but they don't have any money for you.

Agree with you, but you guys have a solid starting 11.
Maybe we're going to able to get someone on loan?
Would your management be thinking in that direction??
96 got Mikael Forssell:

It's a risk because of his injury history but still nice. :)

I think that is a damned good signing!! He and Mike Hanke should make one hell of a strike force!!

Hapy with that one, especially the way the transfer took place. Quite, nobody knew, and then BAM!

Damn, I'm getting jealous! :o;) However, it's better to see him play for you than for Rangers (who were interested as well)...
I'd have liked to see him in the BMG dress again, but somehow I could feel that Howie will sign him in the end. Good luck!

Everton are now also interested in Huszti. DId you say 3 million euros for him? I hope Moyes will try to get him after what happened with Pienaar ;) (I think Huszti would be great for us, really).
I forget, does Huszti take your corners?
Hello everyone, I wasn't sure where to post this but I have a huge problem, need or whatever you want to call it. I'm going to Hannover this summer and I really want to go to the last game on the 17th against Cottbus...the thing is that I live in Mexico City and there's no way I can get the tickets from here, so I was wondering if any of you could help me out with this. I'm really desperate cus I really want to go to this game.
Thanks!
So did you end up going?

I think they won't let him go under 3 million and I don't think we would get much more for him seeing as Mismimovic went for 3.9.
Yes, he does take our corners.
Newest rumour about 96 is that Kind wants to get rid of everything "RED". Apparently it's bad for business to have a team play in red whose team-colours are black, green and white.
I can see it already: "Steht auf wenn ihr Grüne seid!"

Finally one good idea from this person. :-)
Shall I tell you the true reason for this? Well, he wants Miklu to be comfortable and feel like in MG...;)
Good to see most players are already back in training.
Acutally a lot of them were training as early as 3 weeks ago.
A pic from today:

The four new players who are there already:
Eggimann, Balogun, Fromlowitz and Schlaudraff
A few players are allowed to come back later because they played for the 2nd team (Krebs) or their NTs (Cherundolo, Enke) or have to go the army (Forssell ;) ).
Tomorrow Under Armour and 96 will officially show the new jerseys. :)
The training pants look rather baggy imo.

Forssell scored 10 times for 96 today.
Ok, it was against the mighty FC 08 Boffzen ;) but still funny imo.

A 0 - 0 in Essen, quite disappointing (not as much as Schalke in Wuppertal, but still :-D). Actually kinda lucky since Essen got one goal disallowed...

Wish him well at Hannover96 and good luck for the coming season, here's a good post from Colin Tattum of the Birmingham Evening Mail.
