If Hannover want to make significant steps forward and start challenging for Europe, Bruggink and Krzynowek are not the players who are going to help them along that path.
If Hannover want to make significant steps forward and start challenging for Europe, Bruggink and Krzynowek are not the players who are going to help them along that path.
I think after this season everyone has accepted that we probably never will. It's not realistic. We don't have the money to buy good players.
It's the likes of Krzynowek we can afford. Even Makiadi is probably not going to chose us.
That's the way it is.
It's going to be another 8th to 12th place finish.
Our only hope of making europe is the dfp pokal.

I'm not quite sure how much truth is in this rumour, if any at all, but I thought I'd post it on here anyway.
The Scottish media are suggesting that Hannover have been running the rule over Paul Hartley recently, with a view to signing him in the summer. Celtic had an option to extend his contract for another season which they didn't take up. There is still a chance that they will as the club have stated no contract talk will be taking place while the league is in the balance going into the final four games.
But Hartley is now free to talk to other clubs about a move in the summer on a bosman. It does smell very much like an agent-induced story to drum up some interest in his player and force Celtic's hand but it was also stated that Hannover had scouts at SPL matches watching his progress.

Hartley would definitely give Hannover some much needed attitude.
Yeah, I read about it on transfermarkt.
I have to say I don'T know anything about him. What kind of player is he?
His age concerns me a bit because imo we really need to get younger and faster.

His age concerns me a bit because imo we really need to get younger and faster.
He made his name at Hearts as a central midfielder that liked to get beyond his strikers, hitting the target fairly regularly. He also had an eye for a killer pass.
In 04/05 he hit 15 goals for Hearts in all competitions. In 05/06 it was 18. Admittedly a few of those were penalties but you can see he has an eye for goal.
When he signed for Celtic, GS(Strachan), wanted to use him more as a holding midfielder. It took him time to get used to the role but he is a solid tackler, with plenty of grit and determination, and is a decent passer of the ball. But to me, he still didn't look as comfortable as he did when he was allowed to play further up the pitch. He played in a more attacking central midfield position for us on Saturday and looked all the better for it. Crosas likes to sit deeper which gave Paul the freedom to get forward more often. He'll be 33 in October next year but he's still a very fit footballer. I doubt he'd be an ever present but I'm sure he'd have a positive contribution if he were to sign for you.
Personally speaking, I'd like to see him sign on for another year at Celtic Park if the contract details were right for both parties.

He also had an eye for a killer pass.
Are you really sure? ;)
Btw: I don't think that H96 can pay him more than he's earning at CP at the moment.

He did. When he played for Hearts in a more advanced position. He was one of their main attacking weapons.
Btw: I don't think that H96 can pay him more than he's earning at CP at the moment.
I don't think Celtic are interested in signing him to a 1yr extension if he wants the same as he is on at the minute. I think we'd prefer to sign him on a reduced rate. He isn't first choice central midfield for us anymore. Although he is a valuable squad player.

This part I don't like.
(didn't watch the game, no idea, if I find it out I'll let u know)
They were protesting against higher ticket prices.
96 will increase all ticket prices for next season, some even 25%.
My tickets will be 2 Euros more expensive for example.

Forgive me for saying that it doesn't sound like a large increase but I suppose any increase in this current financial climate is highly questionable.
Celtic have frozen their season ticket prices for a second consecutive season and I will once again pay £440 for my season ticket as I have for the last two seasons.

440 would already be an outrageous price in Germany though! Maybe we're just reactionary :D
My season tickets cost circa. 145 euros.
