View Full Version : Official Hannover 96 thread (part III) [R]- RIP Robert Enke
Any news on Cherundolo??? I read somewhere that he's having surgery. Is that true??
You know what. I'm wondering the same thing.
Since the media stated he'll probably having surgery about a week ago, there has been no news on him on 96's website or the local press.
According to the local press he's going to have the season-ending hip-surgery next tuesday.

Ouch! That really sucks!! Hopefully he'll be ready to go for the start of next season. Thanks for the info!
There are rumours about Balitsch joining Frankfurt.
I would have no problem with that. His ego is much bigger than his performances were.
If they give us more than 2.5Mio then please make it happen.
Actually apart from Cherundolo, Balogun, Enke, Vinicius and Rausch I don't care for any of the current 96 players. They are all terrible, boring, unmotivated, mentally weak and can go.
Seriously, Eggimann must be the worst defender of the whole Bundesliga. He's slow, he's stupid and he always does the wrong thing. Why didn'T either Hecking or Hochstätter notice that? We're stuck with him, I doubt anyone will take him away from us, he's just too horrible.

He has been that way his entire career. When he moved from Koln to Leverkusen, Dortmund was one of the clubs interested, so I checked him out. He always struck me as the type whose mouth and ego were bigger than his game.
And as stated, it has been that way throughout his career.

I wouldn't pay that much for him......
1M-1.5 maybe.

Really? Because believe it or not, it CAN get worse.......

Eggimann fooled your management the same way Valdez fooled ours.
TWICE!
BVB just extended the sorry f#ck.
Again, thank you for outbidding us for Eggimann. We would have been stuck with him and might not have gotten Subotic.

I thought Bruggink did pretty well this season right??
and... I know this is rather irrelevant but perhaps to cheer you up I was in charge of Hannover while playing online football manager and the season has just ended. They won the DfB Pokal and managed an 8th place finish with 53 pts. The backbone of my team consisted of only 1 player you mentioned above that you care for (enke, of cos) ;)
Well, Bruggink has vision and creativity but he's the slowest player of the entire Bundesliga, there's no doubt about it.
Ah, that's cool that they won the cup, maybe they'll do it again in my life-time.

is it true your management is offering a new contract to lala?
and they've already given one to stajner?
wow...
I'm ok with Stajner. I mean they can't realistically throw out everyone.
I think Lala is past it and I just hope they did it because of what he did for 96 and not because they really plan on him being a starter.
The bad thing is they are also talking with bruggink about a new contract. That shows me they don't understand a thing about what the problem with this team is.

How likely are we to see Zizzo earn some consistent playing time.I hope he has recovered from the knock he too some time back.
To be honest, I think he's gone after this summer.
Hecking has shown no confidence in him whatsoever.
Even when about 12 starters were missing, Zizzo didn't get to play.
From what I have seen of him in the RL and the few minutes he played in the Bundesliga I don't think he'll make in the Bundesliga.
Woohoo.
I don't want to jinx it but relegation seems rather unlikely now.
Don't know how I feel about that but I guess it's a good thing.
And yeah our Ultra gruop Brigade Nord celebrated their 10 year anniversary with a couple of displays in the stadium yesterday.
Someone should tell them that you should leave when you're on top.
Hate is strong word but that close to how I feel about them.
A bunch of fat black-clad, shade-wearing Ultra kids who tend to sing the most stupid, boring and dullest meoldies imaginable while waving flags or arms like crazy for 90 minutes. They also constantly meddle politics and support. Maybe they should support St. Pauli.
I know most of them are members of Hannover's Antifa group. I have no problem with that but maybe they should leave their political involvement at their Antifa meetings.
@Aloisius
This is a quote from our president about Stajner:
"Ich habe zwar keine Zahlen darüber, aber gefühlt bringt Stajner was beim Dauerkartenverkauf." :D
May explain the new contract. Kind is all about the money.

Well, hopefully he catches on elsewhere in Europe even though I know that wont be easy. That leaves our man Stevie to hold down the fort and for a better and improved record next season.

Huh, Christian Schulz plays a good season and is on Jogi Loews extended list
(Jogi: "Christian Schulz is a German player with experience in many BL matches, he once also collected NT experience and currently he is in good form."
(on the question, if he only came to Hannover to see Enke play))

His pass to Andreasen was wonderful... I like Schulz a lot but to be honest I don't think he is NT material anymore, still, nice to hear Loew mention him.

Not as a midfielder, I agree.
He played great games as a CB though and apparently that's why Jogi wants to take him to Asia.
It's obvious though that he'd won't be invited anymore when all the other CBs are available so this is not really a great thing for Schulle.

Wow, I simply can't believe it. ;) Congrats.
OMG, they finally did it.
Unbelievable scenes after the match. An outsider could have thought they had just qualified for Europe the way fans and players celebrated.
Well, as a 96 fan you have to be happy about the little things. :D
What a performance from Enke again, he's just amazing really.
It seems like we can start to plan for next season. First we need a sporting director of course. All signs point to Schmadtke. I would have no problem with that, he did good work from the looks of it. I just don't know if he and Kind will work together but it's worth a try.
I'm still so undecided about about Bruggink. He's soooo slow and inconsistent but when he is on his game he's really valuable.
Maybe we should keep him but get another creative midfielder as well. I really think a Bundesliga club should have more than one. ;) Hecking seems to diasgree though.
Krzynowek had a very good game as well. I'm gald he'll be there next season. He's not brilliant of course but at least he can cross the ball, something hardly any other 96 player can.
I really wonder if Hecking can persuade C. Schulz to become a CB, he's been more than solid in this position but tbh I kinda doubt Christian would go for that.
