*le sigh*
96 really needs to something to make the fans excited about the team again. Try to get a young player like Holtby. Promise him playing time.
I can't take 7 more years of this.

Holtby is going to get lots of interest.
I can see him winding up at Bremen......
Oh I know, the whole league is chasing him, especially Leverkusen.
96 needs to do something to make it clear to these young players that 96 is THE place for them to develop. With both arguments and money. :D
Sadly we don't have that many arguments. Except for Mertesacker we didn't produce many young talents recently. (OK, there's Rausch) Rosenthal is a huge disappoinment right now.

how about a relegation play-off ? i'm sure that would be exiting.

I had not seen any of the articles about the entire league chasing him when I made my comment. I saw them soon afterwards.
I knew there would me interest, but not that much. Wow!
I think Holtby would be silly to go to Leverkusen. With Helmes and Kiessling already there, Derdiyok coming and Sukuta-Pasu on the rise, where would Holtby play??
I think he would actually stand a chance of playing soon at Werder Bremen. Of course, even sooner at Hannover, but Bremen is the "bigger name."

F96, transfermarkt.de reports here (http://www.transfermarkt.de/de/news/25899/bielefeld-verlaengert-mit-eilhoff-bis-2011.html) that Dennis Eilhoff just extended with Bielefeld for two more years.
I think that's just to ensure Bielefeld gets paid when he does leave.
Do you think it could be more?

Well, this season certainly isn't over yet. I wish it were.
What the hell was THAT??
The first real good game of the seaon. I'm not kidding.
Yeah, they won some points before but at least one half has always been terrible but this game was different.
Great great game by Schlaudraff, surprisingly he worked and ran like Olic, why not play like that always?
There were even a number of good passes, I couldn't believe my eyes. Schulz even managed to bring 100% of his passes to a teammate. Schlaudraff 80% and he won most of his one-on-one battles, very different to other games.
Of course the defense still needs to be better but I won't hope for the impossible. They did their best yesterday given their limitations.
But the thing that most encourages me is that they were able to play like this under big mental pressure which used to be such a problem for them.
Also good to see Stevie back so I don't have to see Pinto and Happy Birthday Stevie, hard to believe you're 30 already.

Congrats on the win, you really needed the points, and Leverkusen definitely are no mugs. Hopefully, you will stay out of the relegation battle, 96 has to remain in the Bundesliga.

Thanks for the support Fischkopp. :D

Well, the North needs to stick together in this, even if I'd rather retire in Ganderkesee, than stay a night in Hannover... :D :p
Well, I'd rather have you do that, the fish-smell is hard to bear. ;)
Our schedule for the next matches looks really easy considering 96 likes to win against the "big teams". (silve lining you know...)
23 - FC Bayern München - Hannover 96
24 - Hannover 96 - Borussia Dortmund
25 - 1899 Hoffenheim - Hannover 96
26 - SV Werder Bremen - Hannover 96
27 - Hannover 96 - Hertha BSC Berlin
28 - Hamburger SV - Hannover 96
We still only have won ONE POINT away, unbelievable and it's quite unrealistic this will change in Munich, Hoffenheim and Bremen where we conceded about 100 goals in the last few years.

This one is better: "Lieber frei in Bremen als in Hannover an der Leine." :-))

Maybe you should always field him as the only striker. ;)
I'm all for it.
Forssell has been a huge disappointment and watching Hanke is like watching Kuranyi, hard to take.
Just read in the local paper that when Andreasen threw his jersey into the 96 away fans in Gladbach last weeks the fans threw it back at him.
That's bad. Poor guy. :D
I would have kept it despite the horrible result.
We have a new sporting director:

:D
I read California is bankrupt so I don't really know if he'd be the right choice. ;)

Why am I not surprised?
Not really.
I also don't think that this game brought Enke closer to Bayern. He was pretty average today.
We're probably going to conceide 10 goals against Hoppenheim and Werder so we really need to get at least one point against Dortmund next week.

Going by the finishing today, you shouldn't be afraid to concede even one goal against Werder and Hoffenheim, let alone 10.
