Hinkel's a good player. :)

I never said anything different, I just said BVB came out better off without him and we are.

I said the same thing about Hannover signing Eggimann out from under our noses too and no one here got all sensitive about it.

Now, can we give the Hannover fans their thread back??

Huszti is going to stay and then leave for free.

Also, Hochstätter and 96 will part ways after this season:

Any idea who will replace Hochstätter? Thought he did an ok job there so far. Hannover's problems are further up the hierarchy - never relly rated Kind, the sooner you get rid of him, the better.

This is where that situation always seemed to be going.... :(

Is this not a case of someone there (read: Kind), not letting his managers do their jobs??

Agreed, but don't we all wish it was easy? :)

Well, I don't mind getting rid of Hochstätter, everyone here knew that the one thing 96 lacked since a couple of seasons was speed and a good midfielder and he didn't do anything to change that.

Getting two strong forwards in Forssell and Schlaudraff is useless if you don't have anyone to support them.

I don't like Kind, he gets on my nerves but Hecking and Hochstätter were allowed to do "their thing" and get the players they wanted.

I don't think Hochstätter did too bad but he also did nothing to warrant an extension imo.

Hecking is solid but nothing special either, way too conservative and he can't motivate players at all.

But it's not like 96 has the money to fire him.

Schlaudraff is hurt again so the 2nd part of the season starts just like the first ended.

Unlike the other teams 96 didn't get any new players in the winter break. Tarnat will be back though and I'm glad. Rausch did a good job considering his age and experience level but he was way too timid and not involved in the attack at all.

Thank you for clearing that up.

So according to kicker Hecking and Kind will do Hochstätter's job now.

Ridiculous. What a start to 2009. My 96 just never changes, why am I even surprised?

Hecking never saw the need for a creative midfielder so I doubt we'll see one for next season. Awesome.

What else do we need for 09/10:

* RB (Stevie needs competition and 96 needs a good backup)
* LB (this is Tarnat's last season and I'm not quite convinced by Rausch yet)
* CB (get rid of Vinicius and Ismael and get two fast young guys)
* goalkeeper (Enke is probably gone)

That's quite a task for Hecking and Kind with no money.

I´ve read in teletex that Michael Tarnat wants to renew his contract with 96 until 2010!!! I like this guy really. He´s very loyal!

Hell, at this point they need to just focus on staying up.

Where else is he going to go besides back to KSC???

It's not like there's any demand for him from any better clubs.

Agreed. It's either retirement or another year of 96.
Stevie is loyal, Altin is loyal. Tarnat just doesn't know when to quit. ;)

I'm not sure about this. I hope they don't give him a contract to sign yet, I'd rather see ho he looks in the first few games.

LMAO!! Good one!!

I think Tarnat probably can still play, but no one else is going to give him that chance.....

Agree. Again, where's he going to run off to?

Just read that 96 is going to play a friendly against AC Milan next wednesday.

Hmm, should I go?
I didn't go to the Real game because I was not going to pay huge money for a meaningless test-game but in the end I kinda regretted it.

Why are AC Milan playing a friendly in the middle of the season??? Did they just not restart against Roma?

I guess the lure of playing in Niedersachsen was too much for Beckham, Ronaldinho Kaka and Pato ;)

Ok.

:D

Unlike Real Milan is not in pre-season form so it could get ugly but at least I'll be able to tell my kids in the future that I saw Kaka, Ronaldinho, Maldini and Beckham play.
(I hope at least one of them gets a few minutes.)

They are not going to rest all of them I hope?!

The Beckham groupies will be hard to bear.

The 'lure' of Niedersachsen can be rather overwhelming, you know? Especially if you are surrounded by them, it can get very claustrophobic... ;)

how can any of you mention beckham along with those names. the guy is a joke and never was a world class player in the past. I mean i hate the media worshipping that c.ronaldo gets but he's relevant at least. Beckham is not relevant to serious football anymore.
