Now the fun starts! We are finally in the knock out stage of the tournament and we fav teams have advanced nicely. Even though my team didn't play in the tournament (we be there next year) I still will follow the advancement of the Argentine teams.

1. Boca
2. San Lorenzo
3. River
4. Lanus
5. Estudiantes

Also, my favorite in Uruguay

6. Nacional

There are two great match ups this week.

Boca - Cruzeiro
Nacional - Sao Paolo

Both of these match ups should be ACTION PACKED and full of excitement. If anyone wants to get together to watch the games I'm down.

Also FLACO, where are you watching Nacional? If you are getting together with people as opposed to watching it at the house, I would love to join the party.

Partial Results:

Liga de Quito 2
Estudiantes 0

Lanus 0
Atlas 1

Today we have several matches:

Boca vs Cruziero

San Lorenzo vs River

Athletico Nacional vs Fluminense

Amerca vs Flamengo

Nacional vs San Pablo

------------------------------------

All great match ups but if I have to pick a couple to see, I would be inclined to go with:

Boca v Cruzeiro
and
Nacional v San Pablo

Both of these matches should be intense and action packed. Boca is Boca and Nacional ALWAYS leaves you on the edge of your seat. Passion at its best this match day. Enjoy.

Today we have several matches:

Boca vs Cruziero 2-1

San Lorenzo vs River 2-1

Athletico Nacional vs Fluminense 1-2

Amerca vs Flamengo 2-4

Nacional vs San Pablo 0-0

Well those are the results for yesterday's games. Let's recap a little

Boca was impressive to start but let up a goal and complicated its run to the next round. Hopefully in Brazil they can wrap it up with a solid win.

San Lorenzo's crowd was as impressive if not more so than Boca's typical Libertadores showing. They squeezed in a solid victory that now takes them to River's famous Monumental stadium with a narrow one goal difference.

Fluminense is showing strength and confidence in Libertadores after many years of absense. I would love to see the Brazilian giant make it far, lets see what happens on the home leg of their tie with Athletico Nacional.

America de Mexico. Flamengo put a hurting to America's ego last night that caused the coach to quit. I'm sure that in Brazil America will show grit but Flamengo will wrap it up rather easy.

Nacional v Sao Paolo. Unfortunately I missed this game. Although the result doesnt shock me in the least bit. I knew it was going to be a battle to the end against Sao Paolo and next week that is what we are going to see. A Battle in Brazil. Keep your eyes on this game for next week if you want to see some exciting and gritty futbol.

Today's match:
Santos vs Cucuta Deportivo.

Interesting matchup. History says Santos should sweep Cucuta but let's wait until the game is played.

There Was No Battel 2 Teams That Just Played Horrible...

Sao Paulo Was Non Existant And Nacional Having No Real Number 10 Clasic Type Say Riquelme We Have No One That Can Create A Play... We Were Out Of Ideas No Ideas Were Generated....0-0 Going To Brasil But I Still Have Faith Nacional Can Win There.... What Will Be Clear Is That Nacional Fans Will Go In Numbers To That Dump In Sao Paulo And We Will Be Joined By La Geral Do Gremio Our Hooligan Pals And Together We Will Run The Show..........

Sao Puto Managed Only 30 Individuals And 3 Rags They Pass Off As Banners.....

La Fiesta Te Llega En Una Semana Preparate Macaco Puto....

lol lol lol I didn't see the game but I can only assume that Nacional played it's heart out. I can't imagine Nacional playing any other way.

With regards to Sao Paolo @ Morumbi, I can only assume, that Nacional will walk away with a win.
