Even though it causes me physical pain to type positive things about anyone or anything associated with Scumpool. I have to say that Gerrard is the better player out of the two.

Isn't there some sort of rule about how many threads newbies are allowed to start in a day? If there isn't, there should be.

Carragher is not only the best defender but best player the world has ever seen

The sad thing is Liverpool fans actually believe that.

Course we do. Yes, Jamie Carragher is without a shadow of a doubt the best defender in the history of the universe, just like the obvious sock said.
Late night last night, Teso?

Lampard's a good player, but Gerrar has so much more to his game. Gerrard can fulfill roles in the centre of midfield, on the right, and also as a defensive midfielder. His range of passing is better and his forward runs are fantastic.

Lampard does more on the pitch, if you want a player that will pressure and won't stop all game and will guarentee you goals he's your man. Whilst he doesn't have as many dimensions to his game as Gerrard what he does do he does very well, he can practically pass the ball anywhere on the pitch and also off the ball is probably better than Gerrard, Gerrard excells in every other area though so he is the better player. But if I was Chelsea manager I would much prefer Lampard over Gerrard given the style of football they play.

Lampard's passing is not up to scratch. Neither is Steven 'Hollywood' Gerrard's for that matter

Of course it is, Lampard regularly just smashes an outrageous pass across the whole pitch, whereas Gerrard has kind of changed his role in the second half of this season, meaning he's less of the team player and basically just the Torres assister.

If by 'regularly' you mean on rare occasions then you would be correct. Lampard likes to think that he is a godly passer but unfortunately for him he simply does not have the talent to back it up. Your description would be more accurate if it were referring to a Hollywood pass of Gerrard's but they are, likewise, few and far between.

I can only think you rarely watch Lampard, perhaps when he's playing for England what you say is correct, but in a Chelsea shirt he's a different player and is one of their better passers. And Gerrard will also regularly do such passes when he's sitting in central midfield but he can't be expected to do this when his role is to support a striker.
