It is pretty clear that things are not working in spain for him, and presuming he comes back to england, where is his most likely destination:

1) MU: Unlikely due to his age and former rivalry. he is over 30, and we are supposed to have a no over 30s transfer policy, plus i dont know if sir alex would want him on board given his ego and tendency to sulk ( not that he is a problem for this, just sir alex being the totalitarian he is, might not fancy it).

2) Arsenal: Would arsene go back for a player? he is yet to do this, and has shunned anelka on numerous occasions, i dont think this one will happen either, though henry i am sure would be happy to return

3) chelsea: very likely. apart from the rivalry, and henry wouldt want to antagonise gooners, but if arsenal wont have him and he makes it clear he wants to come to london, there may not be many choices. chelsea would, i am sure, take him, and offer him silly money to come. this is the most likely imo

4) liverpool: would take him, as his transfer fee would be in their budget. he said before if he played for another english side it would be liverpool, but money talks and chelsea can offer him a lot more than liverpool. one of the problems though is rafa is unlikely to play torres and henry as two out and out strikers. henry would either be second choice or a part of the torres supply like as a lw or ss. ie, not what he is looking for.

5) city: possible, might be able to offer him money, he would be a god and not have to break sweat in most matches. the team would be geared around him. the problem is that they are nowhere in terms of big name clubs. this season has been great but they wont even be in uefa next season.

6) newcastle: again, they would be able to offer him decent cash and god like status with the fans, but it is unlikely that henry would w3ant to go from consistent title challenger, which is where he has been every season since his time at monaco, to a possibility of a season of relegation dodging with kevins soccer circus. plus the possibilities of joey barton and dennis wise trying to assault him at xmas parties and squad get togethers might not fill him with joy.

7) the rest: other clubs have a right (finances) to take a shot at signing him are as follows, though i seriously doubt any will get him: pompey, villa, spurs, west ham, (QPR)

Having said all that, he will now score a hatrick at mu on tuesday and be made club captain for life at barca

He's said that he'll only come back to the PL to join Arsenal. I believe him. Can't really see him playing for anyone else. But, Newcastle is preparing to make a 15mil bid for him.

I could see Henry somewhere like PSG, scoring 25 goals a season and losing a ton of games. Seems like an Henry thing to do.

What no Seattle SuperSawkers on that list!!!!!! :D

If I'm not that mistaken.... Arsenal have an over 30s policy too so I don't think he'd go back there. I thought he wanted to win the CL so I don't see him going to ManCity or Newcastle - they're not even in Europe next season. How about Italy? Maybe he'd like to have another crack @ Serie A with a team like Inter, Juve or Milan?

I say maybe he stays put for another year or so @ Barca ... we'll see. If he stars at Euro it could affect things... price/demand-wise.

I've heard the price of 15 million being thrown around. We could afford that with our Anelka money...

This only makes sense if Sven does indeed leave. I still hold out very naive hopes of SGE remaining at Eastlands. We shall see.

He should either:

1. Go to Ligue 1. I can see the fans roaring if/when he plays for PSG, Bordeaux or Lyon.

2.Go to MLS. The demand to get in to see him would be fenominal. Plus, it would benifit him because he would most likly dominate play.

3. Do both. I don't see why not (except for age).

Economically speaking it is impossible… Monaco may pay his wages but not before 2 or 3 years…

Henry is going to either back to Arsenal because he still speaks thoroughly with Arsene and loves Arsenal. or he is headed to the MLS because he really wants to play in the United States he loves NYC and has said he would enjoy going there very much.
So either was he will make an impact largely, either going back with the Gunners and giving some veteran skill to the young squad. or bringing more stardom to the MLS.
