I think 12 would be ok, it would be challenging and more difficult.
I do sense that that not all 12 players would participate throughout the season though. There will be an inevitable drop off.
All managers who participate must do so for the entire season.
I like Hal's idea of 2 divisions with Pro/Rel, but that would require 16 managers at the minimum.
I'm fine with 12 in a single table division though.
Mark, could you PM me the league pass? I'm away from my home email right now.

I think 12 might be the limit. 16 could be a back up if we get that many interested.
PM is on its way.

I'll go ahead and throw my vote out on 2 8 team divisions... In my opinion that would be fun and challenging... But do we have enough bodies to fill 16 spots?... If not 8/10/12 doesn't realy bother me, 8 would give us all more talent, 10 would dilute said talent, and 12 would be 11 people chasing whoever drafted Henry... :P lol

So far we have these possible players:
1. Me
2. 1800 World Cup
3. Hal
4. Tobacco Roma (please confirm)
5. Darr
6. MtKillamanjohno
7. DutchFootballruleZ
8. Ilovecolombia
9. Helghallen
10. Tom Van Damn
11. I break 4 coffee
12. Doctor Jones
All except Tobacco Roma have contacted me or posted an interest on this site. I have also contacted last year's players and I think they have been given a fair chance to say they are interested and we should be ready to move forward.
If Tobacco Roma confirms we have 12 and we would be ready to start asap.

Hey guys...
I'd like to be part of the league again but I don't think there's any way I can do the draft. Any way we could set up a dummy team for me to take over when season begins... I'm up in the mountains in a town with one computer and won't be back to London until the 18th of August, so I'd miss the draft, but I'd be active in the season from then on as always. Maybe I could post a list of position priorities and you could take turns picking a player for the team in each round... I'll check back in a few days to see what your thougts are, but I'd certainly like to be involved...

As part of the new blood contigent, let me say the two division idea is a good one. However, would there be one person administering both divisions, or one per division? I also think 12 teams would be fine for one league.

What are others thoughts on this. Possible solutions or too much hassle?

I've been involved with drafts before where one person created a list of players by priority for their squads. It worked well and I dont see why it wouldnt work here.

Hey I just tried to PM you and it wouldn't work. Do you have PMs switched off in your options?
I emailed you instead, but you might want to change that as Pms are important to notify people of upcoming draft picks and turns and so on.

Yeah Jon,
Just set up a Ranked List of players at each position, and tell me the priority you have for filling the 4 positions, and I'll make proxy picks for you during the draft.
You can send that list to me in a PM or an email.

Jon, (Gonna have to get used to not calling you Jonathan! LOL)
I'd be happy to draft your team if you gave me your proxy. It can be an unlimited power of attorney or you can provide some provisional guidance. Either way, I'd draft your team as if I were drafting my own. You would still then have time adjust the team by using the undrafted player pool prior to the kick-off game. It may only take you getting to an internet cafe once.
If you are totally out of pocket, you can tell me your password so I could set up your first week's team, then you could change your password when you returned. Go ahead and get the password from Mark and enter your team.
Regardless of what works, we'd love to have you participate in the league. With you and Michel, we'd have at least two European based managers.

I don't have a problem with it... If someone if either Hal or Jay will do it, then by all means the more the better...

I'll leave a msg for Roma at the MFLS game, he might not even know this thread exists?...

now we need to do the draft soon a new format would work well you know...each person could email there list of first, second, third, and fourth choice players and they are assigned them in order as the players are available it eliminates the need of real time draft...

Personally I would prefer a real time draft, but that's just me ...

i agree... real-time drafts are better and more fun. Any errors and or duplicate picks can also be addressed on the spot rather than later. Have we decided on a time for the draft?

My intent is to start this at 8am Central Time on Friday August 6. And then go until we are done. (I leave for New York on Sunday and arrive back Thursday night).
That gives us a little while to do some research and a few more days for clubs to buy some players and the site to get them in the database.
I would like to implement a time limit for picks this time though, it can be very frustrating waiting for another manager to make their pick. With the time differences involved I would say 8 hours should be the limit.
