This is cool! So how do you determine a winner in this kind of setup?

United Forever,

PM me with information on how to contact you. BigSoccer nickname, email, IM's, phone, real name.

Also, confirm that you understand that by joining this league you commit to staying active throughout the EPL season (Aug to May). It really messes up the internal tournaments and head-to-head competitions we run throughout the year if a manager goes inactive. It's next to impossible to replace a drafted team with a new manager.

If you can not participate fully in the draft, starting this Friday and hopefully concluding on Saturday, be sure to arrange for some other active draft participant to have your power of attorney to make proxy selections on your behalf. Also let me know any arrangements you make for anyone to select for you.

It is understood that not everyone can hang out online, the more that can, the faster the draft goes. However, just be sure that whenever you have to temporarily leave the live draft, that someone has your proxy, with your preferences to make the next few picks until you return from your errand.

The goal will be to get in 8 rounds of the draft on Friday and the remaining 7 on Saturday.

If you've played the premierleague.com game before, then that's how we determine it. Whoever has the most points at the end of the season wins!

Along the way there will be cups galore.

So, does this mean that people from Div 1 & 2 do not meet each other except in the cup competitions?

Yes. The two divisions are separate, but form part of the same overall league. Each division will have its own transfer market and scores. The teams will only meet in the cups. At the end of year - it is yet to be determined how many -but teams will move up and down between the two divisions.

Now that we seem set, should we try and give the divisions catchy names instead of Division 1 and 2?

Actually, nobody meets anybody except in cup competitions. Standings are based on total points scored on a cumulative basis, not on any head to head matchups.

That's what the cups are for.

As for catchy names, the original league was called Very Small Rocks after the Python sketch from Holy Grail.

So this means that There is going to be a winner of Div 1 & 2 . So how do you find out who is better overall. The Div 1 champ or the Div 2 champ?

United Forever: It doesnt really matter I think who is better overall - both leagues will have champions and we can earn bragging rights in the cups.

However, since we will all use the same scoring system it will be simply the team with the most points on the premierleague scoring system that can be determined to be the best.

Ok, thanks alot for clearing that up for me. I now understand what you mean. Good Luck!
