I am happy to be a part of this experience. Whatever is decided for the time for picks is fine with me. Mark has my cell phone and I also have Big Soccer set to send me emails when I receive PMs.

Well I think Mark wanted to start Friday morning... Since most of us will be at work why don't we start the draft at say 9:00am CT Friday with 1 hour draft limits, and then at 5:00pm switch to a faster timetable... I'm all for getting the draft done, but also realize that I and others are going to be at work and if something gets layed down on my desk then it takes honors...
I noticed Hal said he wanted to start at 4-5 pm I don't have a problem with that, but if everyone has internet access at work would be a shame to waste the whole day with no picks...

I'm in London studying at the LSE until August 16th. Internet access isn't an issue, but coordination of draft time might be. I do have Friday off, however, so I could pencil in a few hours for the draft. I'd like it to be finished by 3-4 PM ET, however.

I am fine with any time for the draft on Friday. It seems to me shorter times for picks would work.
JG Revs, I am glad to see that another LSE football fan is out there! I am an alum, and hope all is well on Houghton Street these days.

Ok guys... first of all I have to apologize in advance... I love the draft however something has come up and I will be traveling and out of the country... I have made up a proxy and if possible would like to entrust my selections to DutchFootballRulez who has agreed to be my proxy drafter... If things go well, he wont have to do that for me, or if they go ok, i could be back in time for the last 12 picks or so, or if they go really, really really well then I would miss out on half of the draft or so... but I dont think that will happen... if Chris/DFR is not suitable as a proxy picker for any reason then tell him that, he already has my picks and he will give them to whoever u guys choose.

I will be sending my proxy list to Hal tomorrow.
But if someone would be so kind as to indicate where the draft will take place that would be great. I assume it will be a *new* thread within this forum? This current thread is just getting out of hand (and outdated) :)
On the off chance I can snag a look online to see how the drafting is going or even pick players in the later rounds I want to be sure I can get there quickly.

I originally proposed 8am Central time on Friday as Darr indicated.
I like his suggestion of making one hour picks through the work day and speeding it up once people get home from work, etc.
As commish of this draft I propose starting at 8am Central time for the draft on Friday, however, it would be better to have both draft leagues filled with managers, we are still a couple short.

I noticed that there have only been 9 managers sign up on the website. I assume that by Friday all 14 will have done so, and we can recruit two more. Once we get 16, are we creating a "small rocks 2" division as well on the internet or just grouping all 16 in one group?

can somebody pm me the league code for the second division or shall I just sign into the first division for now?

I just created our second league, entitled Very Small Rocks League and sent a PM with the password to join to the 6 managers listed previously: subbuteo, DutchFootballRulez, Ilovecolumbia, tomvandamn, Helghallen, and Ibreak4coffee.
As soon as we get two more managers committed to join and stay active for the entire season, I will conduct a double blind draw to establish the draft order.
Unless I hear a draft order from Mark, I will also conduct a double blind draw for the Small Rocks League draft order.
I'll create a thread, Very Small Rocks League Draft in BigSoccer and post the draft order, once determined, and the rules for the draft.
I will be making Andrew's, (subbuteo) picks as his proxy agent. As I said in the PM, I need all the draft participants to email/PM me their contact information and any proxy information if they have someone else making their selection.
I think Justin said the DutchFootballRulez will be the proxy selector for JG_Revs team in the Small Rocks League. That works, but just ensure Mark, aka kopiteinkc has Dutch's contact information.
TWO MORE COMMITTED MANAGERS NEEDED TO COMPLETE THE VERY SMALL ROCKS LEAGUE.
I also sent PM's with the Small Rocks League Passcode to the two managers in the Small Rocks League who have yet to register with their team: Jon (aka Ingromius) and Justin (JG_Revs.

Hooray, I'm finally in and it all starts soon...
jay, I'll try to pm you a more or less specific list before Fri... but if not have a blast, draft all Crystal Palace players as you know I'll trade them all away anyway.
Until then...

I've sent a few question to Hal and I'll see if I can join then.
I wish I could join, but I'm not a 100% sure for availabilty. I wouldn't want to delay everyone.

If Montreal United joins, we are one short. Does anyone know of another person? If not I would suggest we might post a Manager wanted thread to try and attract another person (or two) so that the draft can take place Friday. Any thoughts?

Well, count me in. I'll work with ibreak4coffee for my picks via PMs when I'm not available.
Of course, I look forward to promotion and competing with the big boys in 05/06. :D (thank god, there's no relegation...)
Will the draft be a "snake" one?
