Plenty of rumor, leaked pictures and speculation about the re-branding that's going to take place this summer. Via the Trade Marks office site, some QPR fans found the new badge - here it is...

Not the best images of the new look, but you get the idea. Thoughts?!

The new kit has been designed and should be unveiled fairly soon!

A little disappointing to be honest. I see the similariy to the Hammersmith coat of arms but it just seems a bit generic really.

I kinda like 'em. I'm a fan of the current badge, but it's no surprise that the new ownership would want to put their stamp on things and I think this will look reasonably sharp on the shirts and other items. I'd rather they went this way, more "traditional", than modern/funky.

I'm still on the fence. It's not fantastic, but maybe it will grow on me. Could also end up getting slightly modified, because apparently some supporters are up in arms.

I've only looked at the qprdot.org board, but more seem in favor than against it over there.... or to put it another way, the "I like its" and the "I don't really cares" seem to combine for greater numbers than the "I hate its."

That's what I've seen and heard as well. Guess it's only QPR 1st who are a little peeved that they were not consulted.

That's what I've seen and heard as well. Guess it's only QPR 1st who are a little peeved that they were not consulted. Were they peeved when they weren't consulted about bringing in the new kit contract from Lotto? Or buying Buzsaky, Hall, Vine, Ephraim, Mahon, Leigertwood, Agyemang, Connolly, et al? :)

They haven't changed the name, they haven't changed the colors, and by all reports they're keeping the hoops... I don't know what more you could ask. Surely they get to put some of their own stamp on the look of the club. The current badge is only about 20-25 years old, right? And the one before that wasn't around that long. I very much like the interlocking QPR, but it's not like it has been the identity of the club forever.

(Kevin, if you don't mind, I'll poach your avatar -- I got one from over at the dot.org, but it was a bit smaller).

The more I look at the badge the more I move towards not minding it. It has hoops right in the badge which is good. Loftus Road is as well. There's a crown. I kind of like it. I just don't want new badges every few years. I like tradition.

Yep, that's the main point.
Well, it's the point that makes any argument nonsense.

The MAIN point is promotion! :)

Personally, I loved the script "QPR"
http://www.soccer-weblog.com/50226711/qpr.jpg

and abandoning that puzzles me.

But results on the field are what matter.
If we gain promotion with a badge featuring Bevis and Butthead, I don't care.
Let's just get back up there!

RRRRRRRRRRR'S!!!!!!!!!!!!

p.s. Kevin and Atouk having the same av is really confusing me! :D

Some nice, new Lotto made shirts here...

Makes me a little more enthused about the new kit maker.

The only thing I hope is that the lotto shirts aren't like everything else made by the italians....frigging skin tight and at least a size smaller than advertised, if not more.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

A new and bigger look at the new badge on the official site. It was unveiled today at HQ before the game.

Very nice - looks a bit better there than the low-res proofs that we saw before.

Nice to see some of the old boys there for the last match as well. So looking forward to next season - roll on August!!

There were 12 points between us and the playoffs -- turn 4 losses into wins or 6 draws into wins and we're right there. Over a 46 game season, that's not a massive difference.

It'll certainly be interesting to see how much money the new ownership is willing to spend this summer. Can't wait to get the next "Transfer News/Rumours" thread up and running!
