Colombian news says Bremen is looking at Falcao of River Plate who is Colombia's #9.... he had 19 goals last season ( 11 in the argie league, 4 in Copa Sudamericana(Uefa), and 4 in Copa Lib( Champs League)
Falcao is only 22 years old and prob would have had more goals if the River coach would have put him at Striker, as at River this season they have put him in mostly at AMC(he scored 4 goals this half season, last have season he had 7)
He is deadly in the air and has a powerful shot
any way have u guys heard anything?

According to Richarlyson's agent Werder will make a 7 million offer for him this week. Sao Paulo FC is willing to sell him.

Yes, a transfer to Inter would also be against FIFA law, wouldn´t it?
(would be the 3rd transfer within a year)

the falcao rumor is on carcol its like abc in colombia says Bremen is the only team named tho it says he is wanted in england(Aston Villa offered 10 million euros for him last season), and Spain (Coruna offered 15 million euros last season but he said no because he wanted to win the argie league for River)
I dont know if u guys understand spanish but in this youtube video it says that bremen scouts were looking at him (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1hD0A6oQmqY) during the game (he had 2 goals and 1 assist in the 3-2 win :)
Also teams linked are Porto who alot of Portugese sites say he is going to sign but noone in colombia or argentina says the same thing( tho they already have another colombian striker, and are buying a colombian midfielder guarin famous from Football manger game) and AC Milan and Juventus and Fiolrentina have also been linked to Falcao in the past

It would be too nice to be true if Werder could get him. Falcao would fit much better to Werder than that individualistic non-teamplayer Podolski.
If Benfica and Porto are really interested in him though I don't find it likely that we could sign him. Especially now that Porto does play Champions League after all.
Do you know what his price tag is at the moment?

$15+ million is Falcao price I think but river still wants a part of a future transfer from him, but think he said he wants to play in Italy or Spain(easier for SA because the language)
As for Porto its a big team but the portugesse league isnt that good ... there is a 17 year old Colombian RB that wasnt even a starter in Colombia went there and was a starter when he finally got the visa to go play there around febuary......
Also Porto always wins not really all that attractive, whats the point of going to Lyon, Porto if they are teams who can win their leagues easily by just sending out their reserves

After Marcelo Moreno's transfer I have given up the assumption that south american players care about the league they are playing in. It's the money that counts.

I'll give you that, but no one is going to win for example 2 titles or more in a row except for bayern here in Germany.

what you mean never ever until the end of eternity??
This is discouraging. I hate people who know the future. These forums are full with them.

Well HELLO! I can't tell you how happy I am to be here :D! I apologize firstly for hijacking this thread for my own purposes but there doesn't seem to be a thread for introductions in the Werder sub-forum, therefore I chose the busiest place. My parents moved here, to the Canadian prairies from Germany nearly 50 years ago. I have always been a fan of European football, so needless to say; until the advent of satellite TV and the Internet the home of hockey was not the place to be. I was able to record every game of the last three World Cups (I watch them over and over and have transferred them to DVD) and I have watched every broadcast Champions League game since 2k. Last year was my first full season of 3 televised Bundesliga games a week. AND I LOVED EVERY FREAKING MINUTE OF IT!!! Now I am watching my first Euros in HD plasma. Tommorow I will go to our local Deutsches Haus (is that how you say "German Club"? I will ask when I go) and sit down with the Old-timers and cheer on the beloved mannschaft in the Euro-final. There is a room there in that club where the Bayern Munchen Club members gather every Saturday where the walls are full of football memories. Two years ago late in the the 2006 season, when Werder spanked Bayern's bums to win the league trophy, I presented them with my prescious Dieter Eilts signed trikot and now they have put it in glass in a place of honor! They now hang many other clubs too. You can see I am how excited I am to discover a whole new world, in fact I was so interested in the movement of Werder players this season that is how I stumbled across this forum. I know I really have out-done my welcome here, I think, but if I may sum up: I thank-you all for posting such interesting and informative discussions, what is everyday to you is amazing and new to me if you believe that. We have a song here in the prairies it is titled "Green is the color. Football is the game"...yes it is my friends, yes it is...

Nobody was ever really sure whether he was french or portuguese but he definately isn't german. Before joining Werder he played for Strasbourgs youth teams. He played a few matches for WerderII in the beginning but the last 1 1/2 years he hardly ever played due to injury. yes he's a centre mid. technically very good but lacks the physical aspect.
