I agree with most of the pros and cons of that phone.
What i'd like to see is the following:
Ability to ring AND vibrate at the same time. The Verizon guy said that this is an old feature that has been done away with. (IMO, that seems like an incredibly bad idea.)
Ability to switch from "vertical layout" to "horizontal layout" without going back to the home screen. I suppose over time, i'd become more familiar with the menus, but it would be nice if it didn't go back to the main screen.
(Yes, yes, iPhone, I know. But it's way too expensive for me, the "GSM buzz" is annoying and Cingular had horrible customer service. "Too many texts? Ok, we'll turn them off." "Problem with your phone? Drive for 15-30 minutes to our 'authorized repair center.' "
Ok, they did have rollover minutes, but it also seems like a lot of people I talk to on a regular basis have Verizon.)
I can understand the desire to have the phone go back to the main menu upon closing the cover, so why not have a "5 second rule." You close the phone, wait 5 seconds, and then it goes back to the main menu.
I'd like to be able to move my photos and videos to my new phone as well. According to the Verizon guy, I can move them from my current phone to this phone with a memory card.
Speaking of the menu, the whole spinning thing with the icons seems like it could be a problem for some people.
I guess there's a lot that I don't like about this phone. But it is a keyboard phone and I can get it for a good price. No, I don't need a PDA or other smartphone.
