I agree. But their approach didn't match the significance of the game, and I don't think anyone can argue that. They didn't play like they needed to win the game, they played like they thought Italy and France would draw and a draw (or 2-goal loss) would be enough.
Then again, if Mutu hit that pen...

There's no point in doing the "if" thing. I did it when the US went out and it helped me nowt.
Romania has nothing to be ashamed of. They were brave and overachieved as far as the critics and "experts" were concerned. It's frustrating but nothing to harp on.

I just really wanted to eat my pre-Euro words. So I'm a little extra critical. :D

Forget the " The Group of Death" they should rename it "The Cure for Insomnia" or "Holland's Bitches". I'm really disappointed in the quality of play in the group with the exception of the Dutch of course.

We'll see how that works in the semis. I think Spain's gonna win it all.

I picked Spain and I'm sticking with them but they (include the Portugeezers and the Dutch as well) don't defend with any conviction and they don't close down. It just seems hard for teams like that to win tournaments. I wouldn't be surprise if Italy takes them down old school style 1-0 boring catanico(sp?).
