Since today feels like a great day for full disclosure, and I keep getting called out for different aspects of my fandom... let me get this out in the open as well.
I left the RCB for two reasons.
1. The every day dealings of the RCB. If it wasn't an email from the FO about fans complaining about the group and wanting to set up an appointment with Reed, Robb or I, it was something else. Trey gets his STFU moniker from how he dealt with some of group (who are no longer part of the group as well).
One night in particular, as a silent protest some of us went to the match with college gear on and didn't stand during the first half. We were in the front row. Some of the other brigaders weren't happy with what we were doing and decided to get into us as well.
I moved at halftime up to a seat in the back row and for the first time in 2 years really enjoyed watching the full play develop that you can't get in the first row.
Since then, I've had my season ticket in the last row on the midfield line. I love watching the game develop from up there.
2. I couldn't go to a game with my wife. That is a simple answer. My wife refused to sit in that section becuase of the manner in how they acted (some were accused of "displaying" themselves.... she read that post - even though nothing actually happened - and my days in the group were numbered if I ever wanted to enjoy the beautful game with my wife).
She has come with me and sat in the last row and has grown to like the game a little bit more each time.
Is there anything else you would like me to come clean with?
I make 0$ for doing anything associated with AYL. I just get to live a dream I had when I was in highschool of doing some type of media show. AYL lets me do it and I'm glad they do.
