View Full Version : Does Kreis have a special hatred for the Fire?

He normally seems like such a mild-mannered guy. But Saturday, he went out of his way to tell the traveling Chi fans to f@#$ off during the game (good for him!), and he nearly blew a gasket after scoring the game-winning goal. You never usually see him get so worked up after a goal, but this time he was screaming maniacally in Pareja's face and just generally losing it. It was beautiful to see.
Does anyone know it there's any reason for Kries's special hatred of Chicago, other than the rivalry itself? I may need some help from Chicago fans here, but hasn't Kries also been involved in some comments to the media in the past involving Chicago that caused some minor controversy?
I mention it because I never hear any of these types of things about him except when related to Chicago, and I like it!

It's a rivalry born on the field, so it's natural that Jason feels the passion as much, if not more than we do. Plus, I believe his goal ended his longest goal scoring drought (is that correct?) and therefore it was all the more meaningful to him.

Kreis, all of Dallas, we all hate those goons. They are still saying it was the Ref's fault they lost. Gimme a break. we should have won 5-0. No wonder Kreis was so happy, I was too, he wasn't about to let those goons escape with a cheated tie.
GOOD FOR YOU KREIS, WE LOVE YOU MAN!

Spelling corrected in the thread title.
(I'm not usually a stickler for spelling, but come on already. The guy's only been The Man for seven seasons now. That should be enough time and reason to learn how to spell K-R-E-I-S.)

That is embarassing. And I'm a journalism major!
Didn't Kreis make comments to the media a few years back or maybe last year that wound up as some kind of bulletin board material for the Fire? I seem to remember seeing it as a sig for some poster or other. It seems like it was some kind of disparaging remarks about Chicago, the kind of thing you just never hear from Kreis.

Why is it everytime I say something you have to make it into a homosexual referance. I'm happily in a HETEROsexual relationship, for your info, so I don't know what you do in Oklahoma, but keep it to yourself. Thats the 4th time you or any other Fire fan has strayed away from the topic. We're better, you lost, get over it.

The only time Kreis has gotten in hot water because of his comments about another team has been after the US Open Cup loss to the Rochester Rhinos. He sent a written apology to the fans of Rochester after he got wind that his comments were so offensive to their fans.
As far as a player coming all out over the airwaves manifesting a seething anger towards Chicago you may be thinking of Chad Deering. Deering was really ticked off at Stoichkov actions during a 5-0 Burn loss in the Open Cup. However, most of Chad's angry comments were ignored by the general public because coach Dir to hog most of the spotlight by blaming the loss on many other factors such as the length of the grass.

I think he was simply showing that you don't come to Cotton Bowl, our turf, and expect to be treated nicely. With respect, maybe. With courtesy for a visitor, maybe.
But you cheer your visiting team and you can expect to get taunted in the stadium. This is in stark contrast to Dema and Hristo who decided taunting Dallas fans IN DALLAS was a good idea. It was not.

Thank you Viking...
Mike Segroves, I am a Senior in High School, yes, no one talks about soccer in school. I was born in Kentucky, but I have a beautiful girlfriend who isn't in the family. I know you're gonna pick apart this post too to make yourself feel good that you are arguing with a 17 year old guy. It's ok Mike, you can just move on to the next game Chicago is playing, I'm sure they'll win and feel good again. The thing I can't take is the fact that you come to the Cotton Bowl (you made LOTS of noise, I'll give you that, you brought out the fans in us) and you say that you made more noise than us. Well I have a little pet peive about people thinking the wrong thing, I know Dustin said let it go, but I couldn't. You are just a troll who needs a million exuses as to why you lost, then when they don't work you make fun of me. I guess that thought of the Burn being better than the Fire isn't something you can take very easily. hmm...

haha I'm starting to enjoy this. How long you been trolling mike? I gotta hand it to ya, those were great comebacks, kinda weird, but funny at times. I only lived in Kentucky for a month so I don't remember it, and my girlfriend isnt in the Klan. But I'm gonna put an end to this, before it goes on forever. Good game, unlucky about huge head ref (before the game we told them the sucked while they were jogging, and they thought we said hi and they waved), yes it sucks to be you; but as you said we'll see what happens in the playoffs.

Wow Revs suck. Really original. Tell me something I don't know. They still beat the Burn once, which is once more than they've won against the rest of the league.
It's funny, some adolescent pillow-biter talking about "snacking on twinkies in my parents basement". When you're grown up and not leeching off your parents to buy Men's Health magazine for "the articles", you're allowed to talk. Until then, shut your dicksucker.

It's really sad when it comes to adults wanting some 17 year old kid they don't know dead. I don't know what I did to you, the only person I was playing around with was Segroves, because we had been trolling to eachother in other forums. But then Kebzach and this sick bastard came and talked trash. So when it comes to getting viloent over a freindly soccer talk, you can all kiss my ass. Don't take out your problems on me. Think of when you were 17, did you automatically not talk to anyone older than you? Oh I guess you were all geeks that no one would talk to so you're yelling at me about it. I didn't mean for this to come to this but what Northgoalgang or w/e said was uncalled for. I'm outta this thread.

I know what it's for, I just don't like being called a ****************** and a c*ck sucker by someone I wasn't even saying anything to. I love the rivalry sections and the trash talking, I just hate that stupid ****, he crossed the line.
