Which players have shown to have the most consistent and effective partnership on the field this season?

Gerrard and Torres for me.

Not just for their ability to link up and assist each other with goals and scoring opportunities but they dont get in each other's space (like Torres and Crouch) and are able to support each other through subtle movements and runs. Torres' is very good at dragging either or both central defenders with him to open up space for Gerrard through the middle of the pitch and Gerrard has been able to consistently provide high quality service to Torres throughout the season from the Liverpool vs Chelsea game at Anfield to the Liverpool vs Blackburn game on the weekend. They have scored 51 goals between them (Torres 30, Gerrard 21) and have also worked together to create scoring opportunities for other players. Their partnership has especially flourished in the 2nd half of the season since Rafa changed the system he was using with Gerrard moving from CM to a support-striker.

I was torn between Ferdinand/Vidic and Berbatov/Keane.

In the end I went for the former simply because their partnership has been a major factor in our success so far this season.

Now if we're talking greatest ALL TIME Premiership partnerships, it wouldn't make much of a poll would it? Cole and Yorke every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

A few Liverpool "front 2 partnerships" from previous decades would challenge Cole and Yorke for that title.

No.

Ferdinand and Vidic for me. Not only are they clearly the best partnership they are also the most consistent.

I find this need to have anything to do with Liverpool rated as the best quite funny. Pity it has no basis in reality.

Although it is in a decline now, Fabregas and Flamini's partnership was impressive to say the least earlier on in the season.

Premiership All time? Henry & Bergkamp or Petit & Vieira have to be up there but then again, I'm biased.

hit the nail on the head mate, although a mention also goes to keane and berbatov who also have that amazing play reading ability down pat

The fish would only highlight their bias if they did.

Premiership all time = Keane-Scholes, fact. :)

Right now, Rio & Vidic for me followed by Keane & Berbatov with Gerrard/Torres right behind them over recent months.

We are judging this over the course of the season not "over recent months". Gerrard and Torres deserve to be there as much as any Arsenal partnership.

Especially considering the fact that Gerrard has been shite for the majority of this season. Only when the Champions league kicks in the Liverpool players start performing.

What Arsenal partnerships...Flamini and Hleb have carried the Arsenal midfield and attack all season.

Do you even watch your own team?

Carried the attack and midfield?

Hleb has 7 assists all season and 2 goals.

Flamini has 3 goals and 2 assists.

So much for carried the midfield and attack.

Without Flamini your inept defense has zero protection and Fabregas does nothing (although he has done little anyway). He has clearly carried not only the midfield but also the entire team.

I watch Arsenal week in week out, I think I know who carries our team and who doesn't. The closest player to that accolade this season is Adebayor but even he hasn't been consistent enough to say that he carried the team.

Without Flamini our inept defence had Diarra, and when he played our team didn't look all too different. Now without Flamini our inept defence has Gilberto, and while his form has been poor this season, judging by the last few games he still has something to offer.

Do you rate players solely on stats? If it wasnt for Hleb dribbling and opening up space in the attacking third and Flamini covering Fabregas's ass, Arsenal would be just another average team.

Arteta and Cahill isn't really a partnership at all, they need tho other midfield players to support them so they can play their game. Those players primarily being Carsley and Osman, for my money probeably the 2 most underrated players in the league.

Everton don't really seem to have much in the way of 'partnerships' anywhere [aside from whichever of their interchangeable centre backsare playing]. more of a single team entity.

I havent seen many Everton games this season and found it really hard to think of a partnership in that team. They dont seem to have 'close' partnerships between full-backs and wingers or through midfield or defence...injuries may have accounted to this.
