12 Apr 2008, 09:47 AM
Setanta airing the match live at 8.30 Eastern, with a replay at 19.00 Eastern.
NOTE the EARLY KO!!!
We may not have the services or Roberts (groin) or Dunny (knee). Expected replacements (from rovers.co.uk) are Benni and Vogel. Reid is apparently healthy.
Our last few clashes with Liverpool:
Nov 2007 - at home 0-0 draw
Dec 2006 - at home 1-0 win
Oct 2006 - at Anfield 1-1 draw
Liverpool has a pre-match report on its website (http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/drilldown/N159534080412-0806.htm). Of note to LFC's lineup: Mascherano out (suspended)
Plus, LFC also has an interesting "Stat Attack" (http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/features/stats/FS12835080411-1459.htm) on the two sides.

watching this one on sky as the robbing scousers are charging us £36 and we only charge them £30 so not going in protest. Instead sitting in front of my nice big hd tv.

I hear you, brother.
We can win this one too. I have a suspiciously positive feeling about this one, and I just don't know why. Champions League hangover perhaps.

Yeah. me too Dring, I've only been to Anfield once, I crashed my car near the ground and my view inside the ground was awful :( Oh! and we lost :(
I hope we can cause Pool some grief tomorrow and snatch the points, Villa and City didn't do us any favours today.
Hopefully. Sky HD behaves itself tomorrow, Dring, BTW which TV you got?
I just bought a Pioneer 4280XD. My one and only extravagence :D

Am I the only person on the planet who waits to watch the TV show, and doesn't want to know the results until then? Aaaaaargh! Everyone I work with is exactly the same. They all tell me, "oh that was a good result for you guys," and things like that.
Say...this couch is very comfortable... ;)
And Foxhill - when you crashed your car, how long did it take before the wheels were on Scouse eBay?

:oSorry Rev, I didn't expect to be giving anyone a problem, perhaps I should just go to bed.
Regarding my car....there were two cars, my mates were looking for a car parking space and I hadn't noticed they had stopped, I ran into the back of a friend's car, my car was badly damaged. To be fair to the Scousers, a group of guys lifted a car out of the way so that I could put my car on a grass banking out of the way until after the match, then we towed it home.
My sincere apology for ruining your TV watching :o

i have a samsung 32 inch hd ready tv. This is the first time in 7 years that i have not made the trip to anfield since winning promotion. I two hope sky hd behaves itself although i have not had any problems for 3 weeks. From what i can understand the reson my box was crashing was due to a problem at sky and not a problem with the box its self.

Gerrard is a dirty diver.
Roberts was onside! Having said that, the ref seems on our side today, that's very unusual for Alan Wiley!
Vogel is a bit lost in midfield, maybe Dunny could come on later.
Nelsen is causing me a little concern, but he's got away with it so far.
The TV commentators are awfully biased Liverpool way.

If Gerrard weren't English, I think he would have gotton a card for all of his drama.
Samba cutting it a bit too close today, and I see cards in his near future.
I hope we get rid of Reid over the summer.

Well!! We made an awful mess of that!!!
Santa Cruz, Samba, and Nelsen!!

What was I saying about Nelsen?
That was shameful play! How can you give away the ball so easily?
Gerrard diving again!!!
We have been oh so poor again, far too many players not giving any effort!
We haven't had a corner yet!!

Really great finish from Santa Cruz.
Great goal! Our first corner and decent effort....91 minutes!!!
Shameful performance from the team:mad:
We got that wrong tactically, Reid was rubbish on the right, we were over-ran in midfield, defence wise, we were awful!!

we have been very poor today, although liverpool were not that much better. Samba was shocking. Our defending has been very poor all season and that has cost us a european place.Jason roberts was clearly on side and we should have had a penalty when the liverpool player pulled on roberts shirt. You could see the frustration in him. I dont think i will be watching a rovers game on sky again when we play the top 4. There was about 2 seconds about us in the build up, nothing at half time and the commentators wanted liverpool to score all the time.

I agree will you all. Samba was a joke. Reid was non-existent, and the fact that we cannot hold onto the ball, or even play it out of defence ridicules the notion of European football next season. Based on that performance, we don't even deserve to be a Premiership team.
Why did I jinx it by saying I felt positive? Apologies for not knowing what I was talking about (not the first time, I'm sure).

Same thing that's been holding us back all season, we just can't keep the ******* ball.
