Who told you that? I only know about Gohouri (who was injured against Fürth & Jena as well) and probably Rob Friend. No problem, since we are able to replace them both.

I don't think it matters either way. 1860 is sooo fragile right now that my girls team could draw with them.

Here is the formation against 'gladbach which is the same used against Wehen. The back line had a decent game against Wehen but the middle still went a bit weak on flanking runs. Hopefully Thorandt and Szukala can lock that down. Danny and Lars played a bit too far off attacking players, need more from them.
Need more from everyone.....
Berki had a slow game and we need more creativity from him....still think he is getting his playing legs back.
Agree there.
Bierofka and Wolff will have to be lightning on the wings.
If it's running you want, Josh is your man. If it is effectiveness you want, he hasn't proven he can be that yet.
Reminds me a lot of Nelson Valdez. They are the same way. Can run all day, but nothing ever seems to come of it.
Lastly, Toni will have to do better with his chances. He had far too many that he did not do well with last week. Hope he finds is old form.
I think his "old form" you are referring to was a "hot streak" and we're seeing his true "form" now. There's a reason he's bounced around the way he has.
Game kicks off Sunday. "Gladbach is missing 5-6 starters so there is a chance 1860 could sneak in with a draw. My tipp is 2-1 to 'Gladbach as I think a defensive lapse will cost us. If the score is higher than that my guess is Szukala's contract will not be renewed. He is literally playing for his contract next season, having been out with injury and on the bench a while. Watch for Ledgerwood to get in this game too as a sub at some point.
If they can sneak a point there, it would be cool....

Now, you know I can be harsh on players. But to be honest I think Josh has done ok at 1860. He's not a box striker. He is more a flanking wing....like the old Alan Simonsen role. Quick footed, fast, decent nose for goal. No, I am not saying is anywhere near Simonsen's quality...just similar. My bet is most BVB fans would take Wollf to Valdez right now.:D

Actually, he was never one to screw the pooch like he did last week. He has always been a reliable striker. Not saying he converts all his chances, but rarely did I ever walk away from a game saying "Jesus, you look like crap!". He has been a solid player.

I would LIKE to think Josh has done OK at '60 too, but what I have seen tells me otherwise. I'm not saying he's been "crap", but he's been a bit disappointing too. And his crosses aren't all that good.
Believe me, I'd love to sit here and say he's been great and Reuter would be stupid not to extend him.
But I really can't sit here and do that. I think 1860 will be OK if they let him walk.
What I would like and what I perceive to be reality are two different things.

Are you just talking about his time at 1860? I'm talking about his time with Bayern, Rostock and 1860.
And there have been enough matches where I've walked away with that very thought of di Salvo at Rostock and 1860.
I've seen this from him plenty of times before......

As predicted by yours truly, Josh Wolff has not been worth the money they spent on him.

What's your definition of "ok" for Christ Sake? If he ain't crap and he ain't Luca Toni, to me when you fall in the middle that is "ok". Sure his cross suck. But, if you look at the goals he has prepped he has done well. Has he had suck-ass games? Yes. Has he had "great" games? 1-2. The rest has been average. Not saying we should extend him but his speed is nice to have.

At 1860. I remember him at Bayern II and Rostock too. He's no Klose that is obvious. But he is typically capable of putting things away. I cannot recall as many obvious, true boners from him in the last 3 years as I have seen since Feb. Would rather have him on the pitch than Mustafa Kucukovic.

I think he's been less than average. Not suckass, but not "average" either. Closer to suckass than average.

I wasn't comparing him to Kucukovic. You wrote about diSalvo "finding his form" again. I wrote that I think this is his "form", meaning, I think he played over his head before, as did the entire team. If you have to compare him to a true suckass like Kucukovic to make your point, well, there it is......... ;)

There is dancing in Giesing tonight!!!
According to the 1860 website, the club today formally gave up the right to buy back their 50% stake in the Arroganz Arena which Bayern bought out (with a right to re-purchase from Bayern with interest) last year at this time. Bayern is now the sole stake holder in the arena. 1860 will still be under contract as a renter until June 2025.
I am sure somehow we will find a way to get out of THAT obligation too. But, I would not hold my breath that the city is going to build us a stadium given our track record.:D

Decent game. Many chances by both teams went wanting for more otherwise it could have been either way. 'Gladbach had a bit more of the game in the first 15-20 mins, 1860 a few good chances missed in the last 15 mins. One goal each from deflections. 1860 had a great diving header from DiSalvo. BMG had a PK which Tschauner should have been sent off for with a serious foul in the box on Roessler. Neuville converted the PK. All in all a deserved point.

You were very lucky to take the lead, since we had been the clearly better team before the interval ... but in the 2nd half, your guys played pretty well and deserved the draw. Congrats!

True. BMG had 3-5 clear opportunities more in the first half. For my money their first goal was as lucky as the goal that gave 1860 the lead. First, Marin went to his knees on the challenge that gave them the free kick like a professional call girl. Second, the ball was deflected, otherwise Tschauner had the ball all the way. But that's football. Goektan's goal was similar to the free kick for BMG; horribly deflected.
The PK was correct. I would have given Tschuaner red because he did not even play the ball and the challenge on Roessler was very ugly...could have really hurt him.
For my money BMG was the better team overall but could not put away the points. Friend should have played longer. I think with him on the field the game goes for BMG. His bicycle kick in the 87th nearly went in. Would have been a great goal to watch even if we lost because of it.

Tschauner: 4, decent match but oy vey is he going to cost us games
Johnson: 3, good game and nearly made it 2-3 before time
Thorandt: 4, solid but left the middle open for several BMG attacks
Szukala: 4, as with Thorandt he should have shut down the middle better
B. Schwarz: 3, solid match and went forward, backward often
D. Schwarz: 4 nothing special but did his job
Ledgerwood: 3, showed he can play first team ball as a starter
Wolff: 3, decent but not very creative today
Göktan: 3, same as Wolff...did avg job
Bierofka: 2, opened things up offensively, directed well, play D too
di Salvo: 2, without the goal he gets a 4 but his play was more dangerious than last week

Tschauner: Yeah. Get someone else man. Athletically, this guy is gifted, but I don't think he has a lot upstairs. He doesn't seem to possess any match awareness.
Amateurs: Big 2-1 win at FSV Frankfurt this weekend. Tausendpfund and Purdy recognized as top players by "Kicker." They are now in 13th place, but one point out of the magic 10th spot. Only three points (but six other clubs) separates TSV in 13th and Regensburg in 7th.

Chunly Pagenburg v. Thomas Sobotzik (That uniform looks much better, don't you think! ;) )
Also, the Christian Wörns to 1860 rumors are heating up with BVB "boss" (more like "boob" in my opinion) Hans-Joachim Watzke all but coming out and saying Wörns would not be back in Dortmund yesterday on DSF football talk show "Doppelpass."
BTW, Wörns was named "Kicker's" "Man of the Match" for BVB's match in Frankfurt and made their Bundesliga "Team of the Week" for the second time this season.

Well, we're finally out of the Wildmoser debacle. So I guess it's good news. Also, leases can always be re-negotiated.
As long as 1860 can get decent crowds, I don't see any reason for them to move, despite that many of us would love them to either move to a new smaller arena or gut-rehab Grünwalder.

Spot on. He loves to dive....but after what?
Amateurs: Big 2-1 win at FSV Frankfurt this weekend.
Honestly don't want to see them in BL3. Don't think they are good enough...yet.
Tausendpfund and Purdy recognized as top players by "Kicker."
For the life of me I cannot see why they have not signed Purdy for an extension. Only Baumgartlinger has played more time for the IIs and he has been very consistent in the back. Hell, he is a CENTRAL defender....and a good one. He's US and cheap. Shit, Retuer, sign the kid.
Also, the Christian Wörns to 1860 rumors are heating up
With no abloese and a guy of that caliber ona free, I cannot see why some of the Loewen Fans don't want him. Crap, he is better/faster than Gregg and Gregg has done a great deal for the club this year.
BTW, Wörns was named "Kicker's" "Man of the Match" for BVB's match in Frankfurt and made their Bundesliga "Team of the Week" for the second time this season.
MoM at 35 in the BL on an very average team (no disrespect intended, but they do suck somewhat) is one HELL of an accomplishment.

On Tschauner: I have not seen him play much so I will respect the observations here. I just hope you are keeping an open mind;) as we may need him for several more years.
On BL3: This is just a small point. TSV 1860 II need to finish in the top 10 AND finish no worse than second with the other "II" teams. So, they have to finish above FC Bayern II as well. That cannot be a bad thing!
