Uwe Wolf, who was trainer of the IIs this year, has been named as another Co-Trainer for the pros. He will be part of the team that currently has Kurz, Simonitsch and Wittmann.

I might be wrong here, but this bodes well for the theorists thinking Reuter is on the way out. For him to be promoted to that roll requires Kurz and Reuter to agree. If there was any big power play going on right now this would not have happened.

To be truthful, I don't think anyone knows what the f#ck is going on at Sechzig right now. Including the "leadership....."

If anyone wants to join a Euro 2008 tipping game (no money, just bragging rights) you can go to http://www.kicktipp.de/eurosnobs/ (http://www.kicktipp.de/eurosnobs/) and sign up. If you get the German menu just like on the English flag at the top. http://info.kicktipp.de/img/sprache/en.3-37.gif (http://www.kicktipp.de/?language=en)

I had to register - that was the key component.

How about Aachen's Laurentiu Reghecampf for the right wing to go with Kitzpera if he joins 1860? Yes, he's 32, but a fighter and battler.

Aachen just released Reghecampf from his contract because Reghecampf had a go at the coach in the press and privately.

These are not great players, but 1860 is in no position to turn up its nose at such players available very cheaply or in the case of Reghecampf, free.

Happy to take good players but makes one wonder why he was having a go at the coach. Typical of him or deserved?

Reghecampf has already landed at Kaiserslautern http://www.fck.de/content/aktuell/news/14377_scrolltext.html

Midfield not a big need for us so not a big loss. Not saying he is a bad player, just not a priority. GK, striker and central defense are key for 1860.

Hatchet buried between 1860 and sponsor. Trenkwalder now "ok" with 1860 after Von Linde step down. Family pic below....

And today's "kicker" reports that trenkwalder raised their contribution to the club from 300,000 to around 1.6M.

"Kicker" asked Kurz if that meant more money for better player purchases, and Kurz basically ruled it out, saying that 1860 is still restricted in what it can do financially.

However, they should have one new signing this week.

If any of you know Lazio Rome's striker Goran Pandev, today's "Kicker" says 1860 will be signing his younger brother Sasko from Dinamo Zagreb on a free transfer. ;)

Sasko is 21 years old, stands at 1.81m (6' 2") and is reportedly an all-around offensive player, though his profile at Transfermarkt.de (http://www.transfermarkt.de/de/spieler/37932/sa%C5%A1kopandev/profil.html) lists him as a left-outside player.

He played the second half of last season for the last placed team in the Croatian League, NK Medjimurje Cakovec. He made five appearances and did not score.

"Kicker" quoted his father, who is also his agent, as saying Sasko will sign with 1860 by the end of the week.

"Kicker" also speculating that 1860 still have a possible Benny Lauth deal in their sights. However, Hannover still wants to sell him outright and 1860 cannot afford that. 1860 would like a loan deal and think Hannover would be open to that because Hannover wants get Lauth off their salary list as soon as possible and it seems no one else wants Lauth.

I thought Hoffenheim or Gladbach might be interested in Lauth, but that doesn't seem to be the case.......

Lauth is seen as such a piece of crap now, I guess he really has nowhere to go but home again.

And it could be exactly the fresh start he needs. Even he would be better than "Ku-SUCK-ovic......"

Sounds great, but I'd still prefer we were getting the other Pandev... :D

But any signing would be good news. 1860 needs to get moving, cause they have a lot of holes to fill, hopefully not all from the youth side. Lauth on loan is really not a bad idea, cause if he flops, we can always send him back, and there's less pressure on us or him due to finances.

I guess now there's no reason to whine about the red logo on the kits. That's exceptionally giving of Trenkwalder to unilaterally increase our kit sponsor fee.

Any news on the Wörns/Klitzpera possibilities?

1860 can't "get moving" if there isn't much they can do. I think sometimes some of you guys forget there is more to football finance than transfer fees and salaries.

Shit, I think they did well enough finding Pandev.

And any Lauth loan deal is not up to 1860. It is up to Hannover, who will try to sell Lauth as long as they possibly can before capitulating to a loan deal with 1860. Hannover doesn't want to get Lauth off their books for just one season, they want to get him off their books permanently. 1860 can't do that right now.

1860 has to just wait Hannover out here. If Hannover can't sell Lauth or loan him to another club for a higher fee, they'll come back to 1860.

That bodes well for you guys because right now, it seems most clubs, even other 2. Liga clubs, don't want to touch Lauth with a ten-foot pole.

I didn't know it was that little to begin with. Damn.

None that I have heard. Speculation from others I know is that Wörns is hoping for a call from Ralf Rangnick or Rudi Bommer. I think for him, he'll join 1860 if he can't go anywhere better. I haven't asked anyone about Kitzpera.

Honestly Purdy and Duhnke are surprise. They were standard players last season and very talented. Letting go of BOTH back-up keepers is interesting. They picked up one so seems that Roessl will be #1 with only one back-up. With Tschauner and Hoffmann still around it will make things interesting. Sorry to see Purdy go but my guess he is picked up by someone.

Last week, 1860 decided that Pandev was no longer an option. Don't know what happened, but he's no longer on '60's radar.

That same article said Hoffenheim was after Timo Gebhardt, but Reuter refused their offer and that 1860 is trying to find a new central defender, creative midfielder and striker.

It also said that Christoph Burkhard had offers from Offenbach, Rapid Vienna and Jahn Regensburg, but all of them wanted him on a free transfer.

Reuter would not let him go, stating, "Players who have a valid contract will not leave on free transfers."
