He was always Geschäftsführer; whereas Ziffzer was Geschäftsführer and Vorstandsitzer. Rumor is Stevic is being asked to take the Vorstandsitzer position.:D
And just what qualifies Micky Stevic for that position?? The fact he's popular with the fans?
What am I missing here?

Rumor combined with former Reuter teammate combined with former TSV player.:D Not sure I think he should be considered if the rumors are true.

LOL, well until you actually give some concrete reasons as to why he's bad I guess I will have to be.
Lionhead I can appreciate your passion for the club, but you are WAY, WAY to blind and emotional about this. Your arguments are from your heart but have nothing to back them up. You still have not said WHY you hate Ziffzer.
Dude, you just don’t get it into your f***** head. Ziffzer’s main activity was restricting himself to analysing the debts and shortfalls, but he actually didn’t do much about getting rid of them. He was acting like a “little” Uli Hoeneß without having the management skills. He was simply administering our debts without giving the team any perspective for progression by providing additional funds. The team is the purpose of the business and not vice versa. You keep going on about “nobody wants to do business with1860”. Wasn’t it up do him to change that? Did he do a good job? He just wasn’t up to it. If you think this was a great achievement I’d like to see what you do in your own job.

You klidding me? I have already outlined MANY of the things he did for the club in reducing OR ELIMINATING our burden. Read THIS (http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showpost.php?p=14613256&postcount=292) post...I mean actually READ it!!! I outline at least 8 things he did to bring 1860 into better financial condition. Christ, don't bring this crap to the board if you are not going to at least TRY to offer concrete counter examples. I HAVE shown you how he got rid of our poor financial past. YOU have offered NOTHING to counter these facts!!
He was acting like a “little” Uli Hoeneß without having the management skills. He was simply administering our debts without giving the team any perspective for progression by providing additional funds.
Put the crack pipe down now because it is clearly affecting your ability to recall recent history. Again, READ what I have posted. Tell me Ziffzer did not do those things. Tell me our finances are not better today than they were 6 months ago, 12 months ago, or 18 months ago.
The team is the purpose of the business and not vice versa. You keep going on about “nobody wants to do business with1860”. Wasn’t it up do him to change that?
Yes, and he DID. That's why we have a sponsor. That is why we have a license. That is why we are in the black. That is why we do not have millions of dollars of loan payments anymore to pay. Again, thanks for making my point for me.
Did he do a good job?
I am dumbfounded. You actuall think all the accomplishments I have listed are NOT evidence of Ziffzer having done a good job? What do DO call it? We we in debt? No! Do we have millions in loans to pay? No! Do we have decent credit with banks, a sponsor, cash in the bank? Well, we did before Ziffzer got fired.
He just wasn’t up to it. If you think this was a great achievement I’d like to see what you do in your own job.
Clearly you have NO clue about football, the business of football and what goes on in the REAL world. Ziffzer's accomplishments are what 99% of the clubs in the BL would LOVE to have. The fact that you think these are not accomplishments worthy of praise simply illustrates that you are a Luddite who simply has NO CLUE of how things work.
You can respond if you like, but I am done with you on this issue. You simply offer no examples, cannot offer any facts contrary to what actually has been done by Ziffzer and only want to piss all over people. My grandmother told me never to enter a battle of wits or intelligence with an unarmed man, so the board is yours. I am done on this issue with you.

What a relief
And with that, let's move the conversation back to football... Thank goodness we have a game this week after all the drama.
I wonder if Kurz has any moves up his sleeves for this week's match, like maybe giving Rössl his first shot in net or giving some other U23 kids some playing time with the big club? Obviously we want to be fair to Aue's relegation rivals and field a relatively experienced squad.
Kicker has the squad for Sunday's season wrap up match as thus:
Tschauner - Ledgerwood, Thorandt, Szukala, T. Hoffmann - D. Schwarz, L. Bender - Gebhart, Göktan, Bierofka - di Salvo

Remember, the U23s are going to be fighting for a place in the higher league, so my guess is you may find the opposite: A few of the Profi players playing for the U23s. Let's hope Tschauner is not one of them.:D

Maybe Tschauner can play with the U18's this week. :D

I thought only 2 "IIs" can be promoted to 3 BL from each regional league. So, 1860 II not only have to get into the top 10 (which is doable as they are currently 11 with 3 games to play) but also get passed Bayern II (which is doable but they are 5 points ahead with 3 games to play). I think it is great that will be giving it full effort but it is a steep climb for 3 games.

Only 4 II teams will be allowed into the inaugural 3. BL. The top two from each of the Regionalliga. However, if one of the leagues has only 1 or none make it into the top ten, then the next highest 1 or two B-teams from the other league will make it as long as they have made the top ten. So, if Borussia Dortmund II drop out of the top ten in the Nord, and 1860 make it to the top ten in the Sud, then they'll get promoted. That's their best chance, because they don't have to catch up to BM number two and Dortmund is on the edge as it is. Got it?
:D
But after that, teams will be promoted and relegated as normal, no restrictions on number of B-teams.

Well, that just leaves Burkhart, Duhnke and Wolff with contracts expiring and no word on their future. Of course there are several in the II's ranks that also have contracts up. Should be a fun next few weeks.

We may not like Uli Hoeness, but he usually knows what he's talking about.

Man, he has developing to do, but I like his potential. And I guess pretty soon we're going to have to start calling Aachen "TSV Alemannia 1860 Aachen" They are going to make their comeback using the strength of 1860 developed talents.

And they did go. Magdeburg and RWE both won today and leapfrogged Borussia Dortmund II, who lost 4-1 to Kickers Emden who were just above them in the table. Too bad Braunschweig didn't win as well, that would have put Dortmund in 13th. Anyway, our II team lost to the league leaders, so it's looking like a big stretch for us to make the top ten. And that's probably all we'd need to do to make it considering the fate of Dortmund. Now we need to win out and get help. It is fortunate that our next match is against the current 10th place team. But we'll still need them to lose in the final week, also.

Eddie. Garry and I go back to some of Bayern's old business tactics. At least that's why I hate him.
I will admit I'm softening because I do know the man is also one of the best in the world at what he does and I'd kill to have a man like him running my club.
