Coming up to half time and still 0-0, very open entertaining match though, we have played quite well and both sides are looking like they want to win this one.

Full-time, 0-0. Not the worst game ever, but...
Good performances by Pressley and Webster, but not enough going forward. Substitutions puzzling, especially given that Wilkie was not given some time considering suspensions for Faroes match.
Faroes lost 1-2 at home to Iceland. Doesn't help, but we should be OK for 2nd as long as we win our home games.

I thought that we were solid in defence & although Norway had attack after attack they never really looked liked scoring.
That'll do fine in Dortmund next month but we have to use or midfield more effectivley.
Berti has our two best players (Ferguson & Lambert) play out-of-position with Lambert playing as a left-sided mifielder at one point last night!
Kenny Miller will hopefully be back to face the Faroes.
In our group Iceland beat the Faroes 2-1 (late mistake by Partick Thislte's new keeper) and go top of the group.
Iceland have 2 games left - home & away to Germany & IF they lose both & we win our two home games we will get a play-off spot & beat England :)
Germany slump continued as they lost 1-0 at home to Italy.

I still maintain Barry Ferguson is the most overrated player to ever pull on a scotland top in the last decade, last night was another shining example of his ability to look mediocre, he should be the playmaker, getting hold of the ball in the middle of the park and making others around him play.
Lambert, god bless his wee cotton socks, tries his best and when he plays well is still a quality player but his age has caught up with him, he was never the most creative player in the world anyway but at least he tries, Ferguson just flatters to decieve if he doesnt have his sicknote.
I was a bit stumped that Maloney wasnt brought on after being told he couldnt represent the under-21's, even for 10 or 15 minutes cos to me late in the second half we were crying out for a player with a bit of flair and guile about him and he was the man to bring it going by his performance for us on saturday, he was outstanding, Praise to big Rab as well he was amazing as usual last night.
