Will any of you be protesting?

Hundreds of police will be deployed on the streets of Paris on Monday to protect the Olympic torch relay from opponents of China's actions in Tibet.

France should mind its own business especially because most of the "free tibet" activists don't know the history between both countries.

They are willing to wear a patch "for a better world". I thought : for a better France no more pauperization of our society. In fact their patch works for France as well :p.

Suddenly "free tibet" turned into a trend and we'll forget about them right after the end of the Olympic Games. France should get ride of le droit d'ingérence. Our way of thinking isn't the best and we have to accept other societies. No more arrogance.

That's just my opinion.

Paris protests force cancellation of torch relay

PARIS - Paris’ Olympic torch relay descended into chaos Monday, with protesters scaling the Eiffel Tower, grabbing for the flame and forcing security officials to repeatedly snuff out the torch and transport it by bus past demonstrators yelling “Free Tibet!”

after what happened in paris, and with promises of the same in san francisco, i heard that the IOC is considering calling off the flame world tour (a mighty important crusade  ). the tradition will be abandoned, and the torch will only tour the host countries from now on.

i'm not for a boycott of the olympics. but i'm tickled to see these protests showing both china and the IOC for the frauds they are.
