Lose by 2. This is where we realize that although we're a lot better than last season, everyone else has improved even more. :(

We somehow win 2-1. I'm hoping that we can hold down the CCS this year and not give up easy points at our house.

Pessimism hasn't set in just quite yet. I'm still optimisitic about the season, as it seems stupid to judge a team based on one or two games. That mindset will be determined at the end of the month after several games.

i think we can find a way to win somehow. that new york game was hard to watch. we couldnt finish "story of our life"....but i think we get it turned around vs chivas!
You forgot Chelsea FC. Their nickname isn't "FC", it's the Blues.

Celtic FC are the Hoops, as are FC Dallas.

Leeds United is sometimes referred to as the Whites.

Fulham FC has been referred to as the Cottagers, haven't they?

Once again the Nordecke will be needed more than ever as the Chivas/Mejicano diaspora could have an impact.

2-1. Hesmer is a beast. Meat doesn't give up a PK. and GBS pulls his head out of his as$ to tally his first goal of the season.

I say 1-0 crew, our defense gets it head back on straight, hesmer saves another one after a foul by guess who? Mr. O'Rorke, and Duncan tallies his first of the year on a corner from guille.

i almost forgot we shower F-ing Razov when he comes to take a corner, he'll regret giving absolutely no effort in C-bus..

This will be a tough match but Crew will win by 1. The theme this year is that Crew is making their stadium their fortress. They will have their chance to prove it against the best team in the league.

Chivas coming off a 2 goal win, crew coming off a 2 goals loss. I just can't see us winning after yesterday's performance, especially against Chivas.
3-1 Chivas :(

Our ineffectual offense is what keeps us from putting this game away. And our home field/fortress attitude is what motivates us to keep from losing.

Razov's mouth must be watering. He's way too clever for O'Rourke's 'unrefined' approach. And Galido's too quick.

It could be messy. I hope we can hold out for a tie.

2-1 Crew....until the 92nd minute. 2-2 tie.

You must remember, the team that made Chivas look awesome was RSL. They are, once again, terrible. Also, there was that "home opener" factor to consider.

Obviously, the Goats pack some firepower, and on paper, are the better team. But I thing we had a terrible first 10 minutes last week, and then, the RB sat on their lead, which made it tough for us to get any space in the offensive third. Again, never as bad as it looks when you lose.

We keep this close, Hesmer bails out O'Whoops on more than one occasion, and Robbie Rogers puts home the game winner: 2-1.

someone will need to control Sacha Kljestan in the mid field. He is a good set up kid.

As of today, the forecast is (a high of) 49 with rain. By 7:30 pm, that will probably be more like 40. When you factor in the geographical oddity that is CCS, the temperature ought to be something nearing 35 degrees. Maybe this will have a similar impact on the Chivas fans/diaspora as it did on the Metapan fans (who were rowdy at first and then visibly shivering by halftime). Who knows.

At the TFC game, I noticed several La Turbina people wearing Chivas Guadalahara (sp?) jerseys. I wonder if this will have any effect on the Corner Crew (or Nordecke, whatever you want to call us).

I'm going to sit outside the Nordecke possibly, as I'm hoping to get Razov's signature on my Crew Jersey of his (don't attack me...)

Chivas already has a solid road result, a 1-1 draw at Pizza Hut Park, and a solid 3-1 win at Real Salt Lake.

I think this has 1-0 Chivas written all over it.
