Surprised a thread for this does not yet exist. All 16 teams have qualified, and I think the draw is weeks away. Should be a great tournament. The teams are
Serbia, Belgium, Italy, Holland
Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Cameroon
China, S Korea, Japan, Australia
Brazil, Argentina
USA, Honduras
New Zealand
Anybody know which 3 overage players will be comming for each country ?

This time, fancy teams like Spain or Paraguay aren't here.
Brazil, Argentina, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Italy, Cameroon, Korea.
Only these teams are useful and the rest are not worth mentioning it.

Probably but they aren't overage, the 3 overage replacements would be Gabriel Milito, Cambiasso and Cruz.

Italy coach Casiraghi said he doesn't want to use the 3 overage players, he just wants to bring the U21 side.

It may depend on Barça, but he's on the 56 players pre-selection that Batista gave away some weeks ago.

We've seen some players celebrate goals with a saying/slogan on a shirt underneath their kit. Could a player/ team get in trouble for scoring a goal and then flashing a Free Tibet shirt to the masses? I apologize for the political reference, but...........

I really doubt of Lionel Messi will take part in Olympics.

Honduras could be an interesting team for this tournament if they can get all of Suazo, Cesar and Guevara to play for them. If they also have to play a World Cup qualifier right in the middle of the Olympics forget it, they will be the worst team in the tournament if that is the case.

We should boycott this thread due to poor human rights in China.

I know Riquelme already said he will play in the olympics. I know Robinho is too. Kaka wants to, but if AC Milan get the 4th Champions League spot in Italy......AC Milan will have to play in the early Champions League rounds which may affect Kaka's chances of playing. For the U.S. look for Brian McBride, Landon Donovan, and a defender. These are the pots for the draw which is this Sunday April 20th.
Pot 1
- China (A)
- Australia
- Korea Republic
- Japan
Pot 2
- New Zealand
- Cameroon
- Ivory Coast
- Nigeria
Pot 3
- Argentina
- Brazil
- USA
- Honduras
Pot 4
- Netherlands
- Belgium
- Italy
- Serbia

Oh, thankfully they didn`t create a "special pot" for us serbians this time, like they did in WC 2006 :-(
My favorite:
