Brazil and Argentina are going to be stacked...This is the one tournament Brazil wants to take, and Argentina (perennial winners, it seems) are desperate to not let them.

You're going to see some of the best players in the world at this thing, which i think sucks because it really should be an U20 or even U18 tournament

I know Riquelme already said he will play in the olympics. I know Robinho is too. Kaka wants to, but if AC Milan get the 4th Champions League spot in Italy......AC Milan will have to play in the early Champions League rounds which may affect Kaka's chances of playing. For the U.S. look for Brian McBride, Landon Donovan, and a defender. These are the pots for the draw which is this Sunday April 20th.

The pots and draw procedure are available on FIFA's website fifa.com. In addition to the pots the draw has been arranged so that particular teams won't be drawn together. The predetermined allocations are

Group A Argentina (Defending Olympic Champion)
Group B Cameroon (African Champion)
Group C China (Host)
Group D Netherlands (European Champion)

In effect they are seeded teams.

So yeah, replace Ivory Coast with Tunisia and we get the same group of Athens '04 or replace Australia with Netherlands and we have the same group of World Cup '06. Still the group seems interesting, so does group B.

group A probably is the hardest, but group B is much tougher than group D. This Nigeria time was runner up in the U 20, USA was also the only team that beat champs ARgentina in the same tourney, and aren't Holland the euro champs for this age. I'd say this group is pretty close to A as far as I'm concerned.

Brazil does have a cakewalk though, its such a weak group China actually has a chance.

ANywho NEtherland-Ivory Coast Match up should be good in the 2nd round.
