Who is Reading's most valuable player to this point?
In my honest opinion I would have to go with Marcus Hahnemann. He has kept us in games that if we lost would surely have put us in the relegation zone with little hope of returning to the EPL next season. His play against Blackburn alone gave us a vital point in our quest for 40. Earlier in the season I was wondering if it was time for him to go but clearly he was not the issue. Our back line was horrendous and not until Bikey's recent step up in play have we really felt secure.
That being said Andre Bikey is my vote for another award Reading FC's most improved player.

I think I would definitely agree that Hahnemann has been the Reading MVP thus far. Without his numerous saves and leadership in the back, we would be far back in the relegation battle by now. It's true that our back four have been awful, which make Hahnemann's form even more impressive.

Going through the list of players in my head... I don't know who else it could be. None of the strikers have been lighting up the board. Any of the back line? Ack! Or at least no consistency over the season. Hunt as been consistently a pain in the opposition's arse, but hasn't scored for some time (not necessarily his job) and his crossing has not been that great all season (yes - that is his job). Marek has had real impact since coming in, but has only been here since January. Harper has done enough to get most critics off his back. I personally really like him and think he adds to the heart of the club, but don't see him as an MVP.
It's gotta be Marcus. Go Buddy!

It has to be Marcus. Just look at the Saves table. He is at the top with 29 between him and the next closest goalie.

Wow they actually included Murty and Ingimarsson. Looking at the list it is an easy choice for player of the year. Hunty is a close second for his heart alone but Hahneman is the obvious choice. I can't choose Doyle or Kitson based upon the fact that they haven't scored since... If you can't remember the last time a striker scored, how can they be the player of the year?
